In fact the northern lights are already visible from late aug to late march. Many people assume Nov or Dec to be the best time. Perhaps due to the long night with less light pollution. However winter u have alot more activities to do like dog sledding n snow mobile n ice fishing. To see the NL u need luck, high activity , no cloud n during the new moon period. Good luck!
Yes ! December is a good time to spot the northern lights. Anytime from September up to March (both the equinox months) are good. All you need is a dark and clear sky .
