Not sure about September but we have all kinds of different flowers all Summer long. It is a very popular place for all the tourists to visit. They all listen to music being played from the Bandstand etc.
We were there in October, and there were roses and dahlias still blooming, as well as beautifully colorful fall planting beds in and around the gazebo.
I would imagine they are similar to New Hampshire, maybe a little behind. We went through Nova Scotia and Maine and they both had Lupines in bloom in late June.
Sorry, can’t answer your question as I was just there 2 weeks ago. I don’t know what will be in bloom in September, I am from Arizona so my plant knowledge for plants in this part of the country is pretty well non-existent .
I don’t know but other than tree blossoms flowers appeared to be mostly annuals.
I am not certain. I have mostly visited in the spring.
It is beautiful any time of year. To go for a stroll.

I’m sorry I can’t help you with that answer. I am not a native of Halifax and only visited the gardens for one day in July. I am sure there must be an agricultural society of city of Halifax parks department that might be able to answer your question.
