Reinebringen Questions & Answers

Toronto

Thanks for your review. I am going there in September. Do you know if the new trail/steps are completed?

Not sure about completion...

The first part, ~15 mins is through trees and branches (not quite a forest...)

Followed by about ~15 mins of “stairs” - easiest part of the trail.

The last bit ~45 mins (or can be longer depending on individual), is open and steep and can be muddy.

I don’t think it is impossible; but you need to be comfortable with using hands and legs. (If you exercise/ run twice a week or relatively active - I think you should be ok; a hiking stick will help).

Important tip: please check the clouds. If it is cloudy (ie look up to the mountains from Reine); if it is cloudy - you will see nothing.

I did the climb twice. First time on a morning (reached abt 10.30am. Waited an hour. Cold and cloudy throughout. Second attempt next day at 4pm - no clouds - awesome view!)
