For the Discover scuba program a certification is not required. We will take you out for the day and complete 2 dives with an instructor down to a maximum of 12 meters. This is an experience and not a certification. The only requirements is that you do not have any of the conditions listed on the medical form supplied when booking online.
No, you will have an instructor take you though a safety briefing and overview of kit, possibly a shallow water orientation then take you on what’s called a DSD (discover scuba diving) which will be no more than about 10meters in depth. All the instructors I met were highly professional friendly and enthusiastic and the kit was all to a good standard. Maybe worth contacting them to ensure there is enough availability and which sites they recommend/offer for a 1st dive as they go to different sites on different days (weather depending)
Hope you have a great time
Im not sure - but they have basic shallow dives for beginners I think- which u can do without certification
Not at all, they are great with 1st timers, there is a special package for those who have never dived
I’m not positive about this... I am open water certified so I didn’t have to worry about that but if you contact the dive center directly I’m sure they will be able to answer that question for you
