Was there regular transport to the island from Dubrovnik?
We got the ferry 6.45 from Sipanluka a short walk from the hotel. You can also get a packed breakfast if you tell reception the night before.we had no problems getting there or back. Got earlier ferry which takes you to Sudurat but the bus is waiting.we had a fantastic holiday and would love to return.
Yes - there's a ferry from Sudared about 4 times a day. If you stay at hotel Sipan you need to catch the bus across the island to the port. It takes 10 mins, runs regularly and is cheap. Have a look at Jadrolilnija (?) line's time timetable online . They run the ferries. Enjoy!
Yes. There were two ferry links. Both were foot passenger ferries.
There was a direct quick service that took a bout an hour and left Sipan early in the morning from Sipan Luka and got back a bout 8 pm. The other option was a slower ferry that went two or three times a day and picked up and dropped off at two other small islands.
Hotel Sipan had a good time table for the ferries in reception
Several times daily, plus faster catamaran once daily leaving early morning and returning around 8pm into marina near hotel.
Yes, there are regular ferries which sail from the harbour in Dubrovnik to Sudurad on the east side of Sipan island and onward transport to the hotel by bus which took about 10 minutes . The hotel has all the details and the bus connects from the hotel to meet the ferries at Sudurad. From memory there's 4-5 ferries daily or alternatively an early , once daily, direct high speed ferry that leaves around 6 am and returns in the evening from a landing about 200 yards from the hotel, however that limits your choices and makes it a long day in Dubrovnik and leaves too early to get breakfast in the hotel.
Best idea is to catch early morning fast ferry to Dubrovnik and enjoy it sleepily wakingupbefore the invasion of cruise liners,. You can then take a late morni g or early afternoon slower ferry back to beautiful sipan.
