I can understand why their stock price has tanked. From the airport transfer and back the experience was so disappointing. The team that was doing the airport pickup was late, leaving hundreds of guests feeling stranded. The customer service number told us to go to a different terminal, incorrectly. The bus driver didn’t know where they were going and missed the terminal, then had to circle it twice. There were no signs for baggage drop off, the porters were not any help. Once on the ship the rooms were not ready and the restaurant, The Local, was completely understaffed and really slow. It took over an hour for two salads and two cocktails. Our balcony spa suite was not vacuumed and the glasses were dirty, but our luggage arrived, so that was a highlight. The spa was very loud with young adults allowed to horse around, even with “quiet area” signs and admonishment from staff. The dining: The Local- self seating was difficult to get, the staff had to be flagged down or they would just walk by repeatedly and not make eye contact Tempenyaki (the Japanese flair restaurant) - we waited over an hour for the chef to appear, no starters, the waiters just stood around looking confused. No apologies from the management and the food was adequate at best Le Bistró- good food and service, almost worth the price Cagneys- excellent experience, great steak, fantastic staff Ocean Bliss- great service and excellent food. I would return. The Atrium- absolutely no service, always overly crowded and felt like a college bar Starbucks- incredible staff, the whole shop could take lessons. The big downside of a balcony suite was the guest that smoked pot and cigarette’s multiple times a day and night, every single night. There wasn’t a time I could even enjoy my balcony without being flooded with second hand smoke. I called guest services, but the problem was never resolved. Also, our bus driver in PV ran over a moped and it’s driver, they were ok, but it was not a great end to the tour. Guest services did nothing about the poor experiences, they simply don’t concern themselves with the ship experience. Important things to know: If you buy the beverage package you must get water from the bar, not the mini bar. (There is only water in the mini bar) Housekeeping charges for the water and the restocking fees. I’m sure it’s somewhere in the fine print, but it’s not obvious. You cannot stack your cruise next vouchers, they are not as good as cash You can do anything you want in your room, including illegal substances, as long as you have do not disturb on. Kids are everywhere, none of the “adult only” area rules are enforced. Every event is overly crowded and too warm to be enjoyable. The buffet was good, Pay attention to open hours and time changes. Also, you aren’t expected to return, so that may contribute to the lax service

We are regular cruisers and would often take 2 to 3 cruises a year. We’ve cruised on NCL, Carnival and Royal Caribbean but NCL remains our favourite cruise line. This was our first cruise since the pandemic and we had heard that things have changed somewhat. But the NCL Bliss did not disappoint. Service on the ship is top notch. Everyone was super attentive and ready to assist or get anything. I was also surprised that I no longer had to sign after ordering from the bar. I actually wanted to sign that little slip so I could leave tips for the bartenders and waiters. Yes there were some not so great aspects of the cruise which I’ll point out below but I couldn’t let that affect my review because at the end of day I appreciate the safety precautions in place and understand wanting to control crowds and groupings. Things that can be improved: - long line ups to get into the comedy shows (I never had the opportunity to watch because they were always full a but I didn’t want to waste time lining up so I can’t fault NCL for that) - specialty dining was also difficult to get seatings - only two small areas where you could smoke (not counting the Humidor Lounge as you could only enter if you were going to smoke cigars) - there is so much open space that they really should expand the smoking areas since there was a lot of grouping of smokers - bring back the towel animals please! The good: - the dining rooms could always accommodate, even without reservations - good selection of food - even for this vegetarian - the staff are amazing, from our cabin stewards, to the waiters/waitresses, cooks, hosts and my favourite singing “washy washy” host at the Garden Cafe. - they take the time to get to know as many passengers as possible and when they found out we were celebrating our anniversary, they joined in the celebrations (bringing us wine, cabin treats, special desserts at dinner) - the main shows were great - Jersey Boys, Six and the Beatles cover bands, not to mention the smaller acts like Siglo, Archie and the other band. I love cruising with NCL and can’t wait for the next cruise

It was my first experience with Norwegian and it was not good. We weren't told ahead of time that the smoking area is determined by the Captain. The captain on the cruise I just got off of had a 200sq ft area to smoke. While only 1/2 of that was covered. You could smoke in the smoking area in the casino however it had to be open for gambling. If you ever been on a cruise you know that the casino is shut down more than open. There was a woman who was scooter bound sitting out in the rain because there wasn't a lot of access for people with disabilities and space. I wouldn't waste my money on a place that obviously didn't want for all to enjoy and that includes smokers. They were better off saying that they are non smoking than that. Also had an incident involving one of the crew that being a solo female was disturbing. While I was creeped out, the response from the supervisor was very insulting despite the fact that the manager seemed sincere. The supervisor had spoken to me first and already destroyed any good faith I had left. Talking with some of the other passengers they had similar issues with the cruise as well. Don't recommend at all.

I made the mistake of going on this line for my dream cruise to Alaska. My husband and I along with 8 other friends went together on the Bliss. We were originally told we had to have COVID tests and then were advised by Norwegian that we did not have to have them. We cancelled the tests. Arriving at check in DAY of the cruise we were advised we had to get them. Then charged another fee of 75.00. We had issues with the check in process. Horrible flight times arriving back home; luggage that was sent from the hotel to the airport when we arrived at the port to leave on the cruise; breakfasts that were ordered and not delivered which was part of a service we paid extra for; HORRIBLE port times. Arrive early when nothing is open and return to the cruise ship early so you miss a lot. One of our friends being given someone elses credentials and room key. Ask 3 people at Norweigan the same question and you will get 3 different answers. Gave them a change to correct it on board and they tell you to call customer service. Customer service returns a letter saying sorry for your luck! Last cruise with this line. Back to Royal Caribbean. Even Carnival could beat this one. I do have to give them kudos for having a very clean ship

We went on the Norwegian Bliss to Alaska. My husband and I have cruised many times through Carnival and Royal Caribbean. I will start with the positives which is why I put two stars instead of one. Positive- The entertainment was the best of any cruise we’ve been on. Broadway shows (Six and Jersey Boys) and a fantastic Beatles cover band were the highlights. Negatives-these just simply outweighed the great entertainment. I will start with the fact that we were charged 16$ per person as a service charge for ordering sodas at dinner, even though we had the free beverage package AND prepaid gratuities. Ridiculous! We ate 3 times at specialty restaurants on a free package, but the only one worth the extra is the teppanyaki which was great. We paid extra for internet which hardly worked and we had to go to the tech desk twice which is never open. The trivia and other onboard games were lame. The room itself had the bed up against the closet which was terrible. The food was boring. Most cruises have done variety throughout the week but NCL wants you to spend money on their specialty restaurants. There are no fun towel animals, and our cabin steward actually missed our cabin twice in the week which we’ve never had happen ever. I don’t like that there isn’t a formal night like we’ve had on other cruises. There wasn’t a decent store on board to get small items or reading material. Basically it was a bad experience and we will never cruise with them again. They nickel and dime you on this cruise line. We thought it would be more luxurious than other cruise lines, but I would choose Carnival or RC again over Norwegian.
