MSC Splendia run by most terrible captain Larso putting us all in fearful stress and life threatening situation. We were exposed to lies dishonesty stress truma . All duty of care was discarded. All about money lies and top management getting their bonus. Wasn’t holiday never touched land just floated . Now they won’t give anyone refund that they are due, only voucher if that’s if you sign a release form you won’t take legal action. Most unethical cruise company ever cruise with them you risk your own safety life. True . Never step foot on there ships again. Managers rude inexperienced no empathy money hungary. Worst in world. Gave 1 but it’s really 0.

The ship itself is quite luxurious, cabin was clean and well appointed. I had to change cabins as Deck 13 was under the buffet, the constant noise from 4.00am was too annoying, Deck 11 was fine. Limited number of passengers due to virus cancellations meant dining and shows were never crowded, food was no problem in the restaurants but as on other ships the buffet food was always not hot enough. We only stopped once, all other ports closed, so sailed from Dubai to Marseille (originally Genoa, but was closed). Lots of announcements , in 5 languages, about social distancing and using tissues, but no tissues supplied! We were promised a voucher to the value or the cruise to be used in the future. I got mine last week and it's only about 25% of what I had paid. I have made a complaint, we'll see what happens. Overall, condidering the exceptional circumstances , it was not a bad experience, especially as there was no sickness on board, not sure how they would have coped in that situation.

Due to the developing Coronavirus situation the cruise schedule was changed in January, we were offered an alternative route, starting in Singapore, which we accepted, a mistake! The passenger numbers wew greatly reduced and we should have received excellent service but this was not the case. The food was always mediocre and cold, the food stations in the buffet were reduced, creating a crowded area and there were occasions whe the only way to get an English Breakfast teabag was to ask for one! It did not appear that that there was anyone on Customer Service who had English as a first language and any problem raised was met with a blank stare and we had no confidence that we were fully understood, as turned out to be the case. MSC seemed more interested in making more money from its passendgers than providing any service. I would not recommend this cruiseline to anyone, neither would I expect many other dissatisfied passengers that we met on this month long journey.

Beautiful ship but that’s the end of the good news. This was our nineteenth cruise and definitely our last with MSC .We were part of a dining table of six all from the UK, on the first night no one at the table was able to eat their main course which was abysmal. The cheese board was no better and consisted of three thin slices of different coloured processed cheese? Probably amounted to one slice of pre packed cheese slices and was advertised as being accompanied with a tart which was not served any time it was ordered and there was little improvement over the next 6 nights despite our complaints. Entertainment was very amateurish and boring any time we attended and after 2/3 nights we didn’t bother, one of our fellow diners complained and was told it was due to Arabs being present who they did not want to offend? As a final insult we had over £300 pounds added to our account after we left the ship . When I raised the complaint with their customer services who were a waste of time and would only communicate by email we were informed it was for goods purchased.I asked for the invoice and received an unsigned transaction timed at 9.am when we actually left the ship at 3.am after 3/4 weeks due to delays on their part I was eventually compensated

When we arrived to Dubai Port, there was a buttler who approach us and said he would be in charge of our luggage and every detail to make our sails experiencie unforgettable, and it really was. All the staff was extremely polite, the food, the drinks, amazing.
