I returned yesterday from the cruise to Bermuda on Liberty of the Seas ship from New Jersey. The ship was fabulous, the room was nice and clean, the food was great, the staff was mostly friendly and accommodating, the excursions were very good, our guide Mr. Lee was fantastic. At the end of the second day excursion we stopped at a local grocery store at the port, I purchased a few items and received my change from the hundred dollar bill I gave them. Later that night while on the ship I tried to purchase something with the 20 dollar bill that was a part of my change from the store. I was informed that the bill was a counterfeit. They kept the bill and informed me that they would be doing an investigation. I tried to explain to them where I got the bill but they said that wasn’t necessary. The next evening they sent their security personnel to my room. After letting them in I asked how can I help you. The questioning officer pointed to a chair in my room and said, “sit down.” I sat down and he questioned me for about 10 minutes about the 20 dollar bill that I received. I explained the entire story step by step and gave all of the details. After the questions he asked me if I wanted to file a report and I said, “no 20 dollars doesn’t mean that much to me and if you check my inboard account you will how much money I have spent on this cruise.” He then said in a very curt tone, “ the police may be getting in with you.” I said, “that’s fine I’ll tell them the same thing that I’m telling you.” He then said, “that won’t be necessary because I’ve videotaped this conversation with you.” He never said anything about videotaping me before he started. All three officers left my room and stayed in the hallway talking. This was the worst experience of my entire life. I have never been treated like a criminal before in my life. My blood pressure went up and I couldn’t sleep that night. As a senior citizen I would have thought that this would have been handled differently. I hope that no one would ever have to experience anything like this. I genuinely love the Royal Caribbean Ships but this experience was too much.

We just came off the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas and it was a great trip. We had so much fun and the people we met were so friendly. Some reviews said the ship was old. While the cabin bathrooms could be upgraded and the cabins could be upgraded to have USB ports, the ship as a whole was excellent. The staff was amazing - very friendly, polite and provided great service. We only ate at the Main Dining and specialty restaurants, but the food was very good. Giovannis and Chops Grille were as good as any top rated restaurant onshore. While the buffet looked great, too many people were touching food they weren't taking for my taste. Entertainment was first class, especially the juggler, the comedian in the adult only show (wasn't that good in kid friendly show) and the Broadway show, but the best was the piano player in the Schooner Lounge. We never saw the ice show. Really enjoyed the activities like bingo, trivia, game shows and scavenger hunts. So much to do during the day. Seamless boarding and departure. Coco Cay was fantastic. As we were only two we paid extra to go to the Beach Club where the beach was not crowded and the lunch was great - we had grouper, filet and a broiled lobster which was beyond words. Heard there were three medical emergencies on board and that the response team from the crew was outstanding. We paid extra to be part of the Key Club which had its benefits but I'm not sure we were fully informed of all the benefits. We booked an excursion with Royal Caribbean to Pearl Island and Pig Island. While we enjoyed the water and really enjoyed our interaction with the pigs, the trip was not well organized. The lack of organization caused us to lose beach time which was already very short. By the way - the casino was terrible at letting me win!!!! Definitely recommend Royal Caribbean and would do Liberty of the Seas again.

Terrible. Second time on Royal. Doubt I’ll ever cruise again. 3 bed bugs in our stateroom. One on our luggage (that we’re aware of) upon arrival home. Offered 50%off at current rate for next cruise. Shrunk my 200 sweater. I’ve tossed and lost multiple items to try and save my house. So that’s a joke. The handling of the situation was questionable. Highly disappointed. Avoid Liberty if the seas. This is a bigger issue than the 4 in our room. Ship needs dry docked. Food also sucked.

This was a 3 day cruise out of Fort Lauderdale to Nassau Bahamas and RCCL private island for Coco Cay. First off the BED was like sleeping on a rock. food was actually pretty good. the ICE show was amazing!!! Coco Cay has a lot of activities... but most of them come at a cost. I just laid at the beach and hung out. The internet on board needs to be improved, its super slow.
