have been a carnival client for years, and wanted to try a different cruise line, and was the worst decision I have ever made. After we paid off the cruise less than 3 months from sailing, we received an email stating that we will need a passport to board in Colombia. I was not interested in getting off in Colombia but requested my passports anyhow. From the emails that we received never stated that you are not able to board the cruise line, it states that you are not able to board into Colombia only. My whole family received their passports except my husband, we called several times to make sure that it is fine to travel with the birth certificate and ID, and all agents said it was fine, as long as we don't get off in Colombia because we would be stopped by customs without the passport, we said fine, drove for hours to the port with a big party of over 30 people and he was denied boarding, we called the cruise line and they said that they should have let us in. The port personnel treated us like crap, I wanted to cry, I have saved up 3 years to finally have a family vacation and was very excited about this day after I have gone through so many hard times as a family, to tell me that my husband can't board!! We had the passport application number, birth certificate, ID, and all travel documents that we would usually provide anytime we travel and he couldn't get on the ship. This is by far the worst vacation I ever had!! Royal has ruined my vacation! I had to leave my husband and 15-month-old behind, and what is supposed to be a family vacation of 5 ended up being my worst nightmare! Over 5k wasted! They were very misleading in sending the information; you would even call to confirm and they gave you the wrong information!! I will get a lawyer to pull all of the recordings from the agents stating that he would be able to board. We were going to go to Miami to have a same-day passport, but we did not because all agents from Royal said that we can board. At any time there is no email stating that it was a passport only sail like the port states. They also told one of my family members that their baby doesn't need a passport after they arrived, they were denied boarding for the baby. The port says one thing and they say another. They won't refund us the money and take no responsibility for their agents to tell us a lie! I will proceed with a lawsuit for misleading information! On another note, the boat was too expensive for what you get, old and outdated, boring, and did not have a good time at all! I would have rather been home and not wasted over 5k in this horrible vacation!

We booked this cruise with a large number of people and were awarded with beach towels, a fruit plate and chocolate covered strawberries. That was a nice touch. Ship: It is massive, clean and comfortable Food: We did not eat in the main dining hall this time as the windjammer has more options. Which brings me to the next thing.. beware if you have allergies. I had mentioned when I booked the trip that I have a egg, gluten and dairy allergy and it was documented. however, in the buffet there were some items notated but at first the staff was not certain what I meant when I asked for help locating items that were allergy friendly. At one point, I asked for gluten free bread and I was directed to bread made of nothing but gluten. :( A big thanks to Sylvestor and Ranjeev for there assistance! Room: The room was super clean. However, we are so used to talking with our room attendant on other ships. The attendant(who I am sure is super busy) we only seen him once or twice during the whole trip. Sales staff: Promenade sales staff were incredibly nice For as large as this ship is, it does have a lot to offer but to be honest, it is not my favorite. I enjoyed the Odyssey of Seas and Independence more.

I was told that I was getting a refund for a drink package that I bought, from the Representative at RCCL on December 21st. It is now January 14th and i still don’t have my money. Is it just me or should a CC refund nit take that long? The customer service team has not been helpful and the service that I am getting right now is terrible. I haven’t even been on the ship yet. I have family and friends tell me that I should try Princess or Celebrity. I think I will as this experience makes me not want to ever sail with them again.

We cruised liberty of the seas over Christmas. From the moment we walked into our room, it smelled like cheese. I was able to sniff out the source of the smell to the carpet, where it was still moist with the scent of sour milk. We had to wear our shoes in our room because of it. Our bathroom smelled like a gas station urinal, although Jose did a great job cleaning for us, the smell never left. The smell around the toilet was so strong that I couldn't bare to brush my teeth in the bathroom. The ship was so over crowded that we were standing to eat at the buffet and the dining room was so packed full of chairs that the waiters couldn't even walk around the tables. The free soft serve was only open SOMETIMES and when it was, there was no point in waiting in line because it was so long. I've cruised other companies and there are MULTIPLE soft serve machines around the boat for the children and never any lines because they are conveniently placed and open 24/7. The elevators never worked. The down button was completely broken on the aft side. We learned to take the steps every time because we knew the elevator would disappoint. The arcade was a disappointment as multiple games were out of order a/o charged your card, but didn't let you play. I couldn't get cash out at the ATM at the service desk so I went to the casino, where the ATM was also out of order. The change machines in the casino didn't work. The shops in the prominade were never open, which was super inconvenient because it was cold and rainy the entire cruise, so no one could spend time on the deck. We got the wrong food at dinner, but at this point, we just accepted the fact that this was the worst vacation we'd ever been on and ate the food that was brought to us. Everyone jokes about Carnival being the lowest on the cruise totem pole, but I will 1000% always recommend carnival over Royal Caribbean any day.

Harmony of the seas is an awesome ship. The staff is professional and friendly. The largest casino on water and the food is to die for. Highly recommended.
