This was our first cruise and first time going to Hawaii. My husband and I had an inside cabin, I was a bit worried as I wasn't sure how small it would be. I have to say that we were both quite impressed, the size wasn't too small. We would take an inside cabin again if we had to, athough I think I would like to try a cabin with a balcony. Our cleaning lady was great, hope the next time we go on the Grand Princess we'll get her again! We were on deck 5 and it was nice and quiet, great location. The food was very good, and so was the service! We had most of our meals at the Da Vinci's restaurant and had Ramil as our head waiter, he did such a great job in helping us to get a seat even though we were anytime dinning, we did have to wait for a bit as we were there early. The entertainment was also good, had a good time watching Olivia and Natalie entertain us. We are so glad that we booked the flight also with Princess as we didn't make it back in time to get our flight from San Fransico back home, and because of that Princess set us up in a hotel for the night and changed our flight times. They also let us use the phone in our cabin for free so that we could phone the person who was picking us up at the airport and to phone our health insurance company to make sure we had enough coverage. So the next time we go with Princess Cruise we will definitely book our flight with them. Thanks to our captain and thanks to Princess Cruise for taking care of us!

Princess Land and Sea Cruise We first booked the Grand Princess Land and Sea 11 day cruise and tour Oct. 21, 2019. Added the airfare thru Princess a couple months later and had everything paid, $5,166 total by Feb. 5, 2020. Princess canceled the cruise because of the Cov-19 problems and offered us a 25% bonus in Future Cruise Credit to use at a later date. The 25% was only on the cruise fare – not counting airfare, taxes etc. which is okay by us and seemed right. Then we went to book nearly the same exact cruise for next May only using the 25% bonus to upgrade to a better cabin. Had cabins picked, dining time, everything set to go and then Princess thru a wrench into to deal. They gave us FCC for everything we had paid in and told us after everything was done we would have $1,087 to use on another cruise by 12/31/21. That didn’t add up to me, so I went thru the numbers and found that the new price $5,781 did not include the air fare from Tx. To Alaska which this cruise we had paid $1,176 and brought that to they’re attention saying it was a mistake. They said, no it wasn’t a mistake – FCC could not be used on the airfare for next year. It’s a rip off that they have had my money fully paid for since Feb. 5 this year and will have it until May of next year, but won’t allow me to use that airfare for the new cruise. Then tell me I have to use that $1,277 by 12/31/21 on another cruise. Besides not being right in any way shape or form, even if I wanted to accept the offer, they don’t have any Princess cruise ships anywhere near Tx., where I live and would therefore have to fly again for the cruise to use that FCC. I say all this to let you be aware, this offer from Princess is BS, and I will never book with them again.

Get ready for an all inclusive medical phenomenon no amount of alchohol can combat, even though the vomiting will still be abundant. You will be sent off from the coast of California as a group of happy healthy adults ready to party. Then, unannounced to you, your travel will soon be extended at the hands of a pandemic no one will be ready for. The quarantine and treatment as being a human version of the disease itself will extend your stay by weeks. Being locked in your room like a prisoner of war as you await your release back into the media frenzied public will have you excited for this pandemic to send you down in a blaze of glory all while wearing a stylish, useless, paper breathing filter not suited for a Coffee Maker. Next time I'll take my kayak on the river with some nips and my Spotify playing Gloria Estafan.

We cruised on the Grand Princess from San Francisco to Hawaii R/T from Jan. 26, 2020 and returned on Feb 11, 2020. This was our 20th cruise and it was our best. Was it a perfect cruise? No. There were a couple of kinks, but Capt. JP, took care of the problems. We left Hawaii headed to Ensenada, when a day and a half off the islands, a passenger got ill. They needed more medical help than what the ships Dr could give, so we returned to Honolulu, to get the passenger to a hospital. No one seemed to have a problem with this decision. Seemed like the right thing to do as they were critical. Some of the other passengers after the fact started complaining that we could not make it to Ensenada then back to SF on time. Yes, it was an inconvenience, but if they were in the ill persons shoes, that is the decision they would have wanted. We did not go to Mexico, and went straight to SF. We were late getting back to SF, but as we left Hawaii, the wind picked up and so did the seas. The captain had to slow down as to keep everyone safe. That made us get to SF a few hours late. Everyone that had flights had to scramble to change their flights, and Princess was generous enough to allow passengers to call from their cabin phone to contact their travel agents to make those changes at no cost to us. Also on this cruise the staff from the Captain down was wonderful. The food was also great. This was a happy crew and it rubbed off on the passengers. Princess did a fantastic job when there was a problem and the captain kept everyone informed at all times. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all that is on board now.

I loved the anytime dining experience with choices in sitdown or buffet dining or even walkup if preferred. I also liked the British tea at 3 in the afternoon with fresh scones, cream and jam along with small sandwiches. Best of all were the shore excursions in Pacific Mexican ports. Guides and shopping areas had been vetted by the cruise line and were helpful in shopping, dining, information and advice.
