this was a weekend TA conference trip to Bahamas. Infinity is a Millennium class ship, and due for dry dock remodel later this year, but is still in pretty good condition. Took a balcony in Aqua Class which includes meals in Blu Restaurant and admission to Persian Gardens spa. Used both and only ate at Blu other than on shore. Package included gratuities, drink package and WIFI. Food was excellent for breakfast and dinner, with great service, good wine list. restaurant was never crowded, so no wait, even though ship was booked out. Had tour of ship including bridge and sail away deck party on helipad. Cabin was a good size and balcony was great even though weather was a little windy. Interested to see what updated Summit is like next week, in comparison to Infinity as ships are same class. Very impressed with Celebrity and learned a lot. This class of ship is good size with around 2300 PAX and high level of staffing..spa is good, meals excellent and service was great. Very impressed

My elderly mother didnt feel well they came and got her and took her to the doctors quarters. Service by medics was very good. However before they gave me the bill they took a thousand dollars out of my acct. Then demanded another 752.00 before disembarking. All of this happened at 4 in the morning. My mom had to be taken off the ship and taken to the hospital. Someone should have told me the amount first so I could have transferred money to that acct. They were worried we were not going to pay. I didnt have a chance to even see the bill before they took the money out of my acct.

This ship is being renovated this year but it still is a very good cruise. Staff is exceptional, ship seems a little smaller than most others but plenty of room to move around and enjoy the on-board festivities.

I made a booking to take the Jazz Cruise from February 1st for one week from Miami to the Caribbean. I flew from Hong Kong solely to the U.S. to take this cruise. When I arrived at the boat terminal to check in I was asked if I have been to Hong Kong or China in the past two weeks. I told them I live in Hong Kong and they had me see a nurse in the check in area. The nurse took my temperature and listened to my chest and said I was perfectly fine and the boarding process was completed and I boarded the Celebrity Infinity. My cabin wasn’t yet ready so I mingled with some of the other guests, greeted some of the musicians and had lunch at one of the ships restaurants. After my lunch I heard an announcement asking me to go to Guest Services on the boat. When I arrived there I was told I had to leave the ship and was escorted embarrassingly off the ship. I was then told the reason they took me off is that Celebrity Cruises decided (if you can believe it) while I was in the air between Hong Kong and the U.S. that anyone from China or Hong Kong could not sail with them. If this was true why would they have a nurse there to check people out? Why would they let me board the boat? And finally if I was such a risk why would the boat be allowed to sail as I had already been all over the boat meeting people and eating in their restaurant? The end result was the boat sailed and I wasn’t on board. They gave me a hotel room for one night and told me I had to sort out my return trip back home. I was only offered $500 compensation for all my troubles and inconvenience. This is frankly insulting and probably illegal. Fortunately the Jazz Cruise company that chartered the vessel reimbursed me for my cabin. However I was told by Jamey Powel of the Jazz Cruise I would be made whole for all my expenses. However I have not been reimbursed for my flights and inconvenience. I took one week off from work for this trip. How Celebrity Cruises can kick me off a boat which I’m already onboard and claim I’m too big a risk to sail on after being onboard for a couple of hours and then in fact sail with all other passengers is crazy. I spoke with their representative Tami over the phone. Initially I was told they would look at reimbursing my air fare but in the end only $500 was offered which I will not accept. Worst travel experience of my life. Terrible customer service to say the least. Still trying to get a result but no response. Ridiculous! Steve Loeb
