We traveled on the Carnival Legend in January 2020 (Pre-COVID19). We had a great time and the ports of call were great as well. Our 6-day scheduled itinerary was: Mohogany Bay (it was rained out for the day, we did not disembark), Belize, and Cozumel. Overall the staff was very hospitable, energetic, and professional. Legend is an older, renovated ship and it is one of the smaller ships in their fleet. It has the typical Carnival design and layout. We enjoyed our balcony - a nice touch when you're on a smaller ship. Ship activities were fun (e.g. Bingo, Name that Tune, Sports trivia, Karaoke, 80's night, etc.). The cruise director was amazing - I recommend to get to know who your cruise director is and pay attention to the information that they are giving. I recommend downloading the Carnival app (without any additional wifi fees) during your cruise to stay abreast of activities and changes in itinerary - also you can communicate with those who traveled with you. Also get to know your matre d and waiter - they tend to take better care of you when they recognize your face. And do tip them for their service. The Ports of Call are what attracted me to this trip because they are all amazing places to visit. We booked our excursions on the Carnival website ahead of time (for the best price). The excursions were awesome - the highlight of the trip. We visited the Mayan ruins of Belize; did the ATV tour of Mexico - it included a high-speed boat ride. Both excursions included lunch (food was average). Would have loved to do the beach at Mohogany Bay, but there were heavy rains that day (we were refunded our money). Overall, the ship was good. The excursions (provided by local tour companies) were great. Cruises are a great way to check out a country to determine if you would like to do an extended visit.

Unlink other cruises where you get views of water for several days until port, the Alasan Cruise with the balcony is like being inside a beautifil nature reserve the entire time. The views are amazing, the wildlife is always active and provides many viewing as well as photo oppertunities. Do your self and family a favor, get the balcony, the deck views are great, but when you can have a private balcony 24hours a day, it is even better. Food was amazing and plenty of other things to do. All photos taken of our balcony, The whale breaching photo ken at 7:15am one morning while shaving, door was open, could hear him bellowing, grabbed my camera and caught him coming up from a dive. Memories that will last a lifetime.

Our cabin was very nice. We had a balcony, which we really enjoyed. Being able to sit out there having a glass of wine with our friends was awesome. Can't beat the view. The Ship was very clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of food, both in the dining rooms and the lido deck. We had a bit of cold weather so we weren’t able to enjoy the pool. Our only complaint was that the Jacuzzis were not being kept warm, so we didn't get to enjoy those either. We ported in Key West, Costa Maya, Mahogany Bay in Honduras and Cozumel. Our favorites were Key West and Mahogany Bay.

Dinner is average the buffet options are just a good and seemingly same food , recreation options average as to other ships and they really push you to buy custom orthotics and a nutrition plan in the gym , my nutrition lecture experience ( and then the sales push ) was not honest into what they say they will charge you and what they do charge you

The room was nice and the bathroom was bigger than on our last trip on Carnival. Overall the breakfast was good, but dinner still has a way to go. All 3 times I ordered red meat rare it was overcooked and had to send back. The meal I was looking forward to was the snails, Very disappointed, they put then on a piece of bread with cheese, very dry and not appetizing Still not very interested in the dancing the wait staff does and all the flashing lights. They also need to install more power outlets, there are only 2, but at least they had a power strip and extension cable for my CPAP. Best Bartender was Jason at the Alchemy Bar and worst was Eddie at Blue Iguana bar, ignored us till someone else told him we were there first, the told us we had to be at a certain place at the bar for us to be served by him. When we asked his name he lied!! But we found his name and complained!
