Today we explored Calanques de port d'Alon and we loved it enough to stay from 1pm till 8pm in the evening. The snorkeling was good even when the water was a bit messy because of broken seagrass. We saw anenomy, parrot fish, red seastars, sea- urchin, sea-cucumber, many different big and small fish (too much to describe here). Compared to some other sites, this beach is easier to access because it is a gradual drop from the shore, waves were low (waves made on these shores are generally caused by boats) and if you are early or very late you can park at the beach. We didnt pay for parking, because we parked at the side of the road like the locals. From there it was a 15 minutes walk/hike to the beach. The beach was full but we like to sit on the rocks facing the afternoon sun (on left facing the water). Tip: Bring lunch/dinner, snorkeling gear and something soft to sit on. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

My wife and I were part of a tour of Domaine De Fregate during an excursion on a Viking Ocean Cruise. It was an interesting and informative tour followed by a tasting. The property also has a golf course which I would have liked to have played if we had the time,

At arrival you need to queue to buy your ticket. (15 minutes.) Then you queue to the entrance to get in. (10 minutes.) Then you queue to get a locker... Well, I think you get what this place is all about. You have to queue for everything and it takes forever.
Visited the park with my family and the children were really looking forward to go for all the rides. The minimum waiting time for a ride was around one hour. The kids lost interest after four-five hours not even being able to try out each ride at least once. Everything at each ride seems to go in slow-motion.
Would you like to eat something? A tip for all parents: start queuing one hour before the children get hungry.
Finally, why is it so dirty everywhere? Trash and dirt all over the place and we entered the park 25 minutes after it opened.
Save your money and go to the beach instead. You'll have more fun there without having to wait for every single thing.

The whole town, bay and beach area are very romantic and picturesque. The beach itself isn't great and usually overcrowded during peak seasons. Half of it is sand, the other very rocky, and the swimming area is limited due to the many watersport activities. Some private areas around the strip, and loads of places to eat and drink. Can have a great time regardless of the not so spectacular beach, and the area itself is worth the trip, one of the most beautiful places in Europe.

Good for families with young children, animated with play area on the beach. Possibility to hire canoes, snacks and drinks available.
The beach itself has fine white sand, however once you adventure into the sea you would need to wear a pair of jelly shoes or similar to protect your feet from the large pebbles/stone’s/rocks.
Also available a shower and even a book stand if you forget to take something to read.
The only downside is that there is a very strong smell of sewage, this is noticeable as soon as you park your car on the parking between the port and beach. Once on the beach with a slight breeze it can be very of putting. I hope that this can be sorted by the local authorities.

Came here asking for information about Saint Cyr Sur Mer and the surroundings. The staff was very helpful with maps, brochures, tickets, and detailed information.

We visited the Domaine after enjoying a bottle of their especially fine Cuvee Minette rose at a restaurant in Cassis. The price-performance ratio is excellent.

The choices are appealing but why French wine is now being sold in "bag in box" is beyond us! This wasn't the first time we have been confronted with this in France. It reminds me of international flights in economy on Delta in the past. (Perhaps this is still the case?)

We have now found our rose from the South of France, in 75 cl bottles, it goes without saying! Its fruity taste pairs well with seafood, or as an aperitif with tapenade.

The cuvee is named after the owner's beautiful cat, who met an untimely demise on the road in front of the Domaine. Driving skills in France generally lack civility, especially at roundabouts.

This was our and all too brief visit to this hidden gem of a Bandol estate on its sea-view perch above Saint-Cyr, but we have absolutely no regrets stopping by on our tour of the Provencal Coast. We will certainly be making time for another, longer visit on our next trip to savour more rosé, and to soak in the sun along with all the wisdom from the expert in-house somm.
