Our family loves visiting National Park sites and Kenai Fjords was a memorable one. We took a Major Marine boat tour to see wildlife and glaciers. Our kids completed the Junior Ranger program at the visitor center and were able to earn their badge. We also did some hiking at the Exit Glacier area which was very enjoyable and easy to get around. Someday I would love to return and do the Harding Icefield trail.

We were here in March and it is really the only warm indoor activity you can do besides drinking. Yes it is pricey to go but considering what they do for rescue, rehab and research we believe it is money well spent. Plus based on seafood costs in restaurants I’m sure it is costly to feed these animals. They have a good selection of Alaskan wildlife to view here. They also have a variety of touch tanks. Every worker we encountered was friendly and engaging and they all appeared to love what they do! It seems more geared towards kids but we middle age adults left happy

We rented an RV and came down to Resurrection Bay for a couple nights. We were not disappointed! What a fantastic place to hang out. Friendly people, gorgeous views, eagles! A local even brought us fresh-caught salmon to roast over our fire! We loved it so much we stayed an extra night.

Rented a boat for a self captained trip around the bay fishing for halibut. It was a cold and rainy day but the bay was beautiful and we managed to see a lot of dolphins popping about. We managed to catch quite a few rockfish, some halibut and cod. overall a good trip that id do again, just be prepared for the weather so that you are comfortable.

We saw this incredible glacier calving up close and personal with Major Marine Tours. You can't imagine the sound and experience of so much ice until you experience it for yourself.

The Bear Creek Weir was an unexpectedly enjoyable stop for me on our trip to Alaska. It was really neat to see the salmon swimming upstream and jumping to try to advance. We saw multiple tour groups stop here and it does not take long.

We were in town the week before the Mt. Marathon Race and visited friends at Brownell Inn at the base of the mountain. During the week we met several people who were there training for the
race by running the trail. It is said to be the toughest 5k on the planet. Seward celebrates the race every year when people from all over the world come to compete and enjoy being in such a glorious place and time. We walked part way up and got a real feel for what race day must be like. In it's own way it is a wonder of the world!

Beautiful mountain and water views at every angle, statues, plagues, so much for see & marvel in. Seward overall is a very small town and easily walkable as a whole. If your in town for couple hours or days, you can't go wrong.

Lovely, lovely trail! Our first day in Alaska and we were rewarded with up close views and a wonderful introduction to Alaskan scenery. Be sure to walk the whole loop trail - you will find a beautiful waterfall and might see salmon swimming upstream to the lake. The only thing that would make this park better is a nearer shuttle stop.
