What a great Sanctuary! The Cats! They are so beautiful!
We went on an AMAZING Behind the Scenes tour with Jolie. She was knowledgeable and interesting, sharing with us the history and personalities of each cat. We watched as she gave their enrichment and explained what and why each got what they did. She obviously knew each cat well and vice versa.
I highly recommend this experience - we will definitely be back!

There was a baby deer eating from a low hanging tree branch and a large jellyfish was in the water of the Puget Sound. Most amazing state park ever!

So, having a GSXR-1100 (fast motorcycle) and the confidence of Wings of Gold gives one all the ingredients to make an underdone “Interstate Burger”. The Ridge and it’s cadre of professional instructors is the antidote. Nothing worse than aggressively acting with undeserved confidence. Underestimating your opponent, if you will. Second worse is having the tools to win, but being ignorant of the availability and proper use of those tools. The Ridge is the place to come and fill the knowledge gap that could very well save your life or the life of your “bulletproof” kid.
It is also a great place to have fun with friends and family that ride. OPRT, TrackTime, MotoVixens, and others host track days. California Super Bike, Team Yamaha, and WMST all run classes from there. The hosts will all have instructors available as well. The lethal distracted are the majority. If you are on two wheels, get trained to counter the threat. Highly recommended!

Off the beaten path you will find this great winery! Quaint, friendly and fabulous wines. The owner was pouring and handling the small crowd of people who all arrived at once. Outdoor sitting area is quite and relaxing. Don't miss this gem!

This place is a peaceful gem of what remains of a once Pacific Northwest past! The setting is incredibly beautiful with small inlets for dinghy exploration. We met Lorna who along with her husband had owned this marina since 1980! She was a spunky straight shooter but reminded me of a hippie homesteader type spirit. We stayed at their dock, water, fuel and electricity available. There is a small store with limited supplies. Clean restrooms and showers available and three RV spots. The atmosphere and friendliness we make this spot a return voyage someday. Resort closes after Labor Day.

We've been to a number of concerts and car auctions at the Event Center. The acoustics are good, seats are close and there is plenty of parking near the center.

I have been here many times and find this casino to be exactly what one would expect in an Indian casino. I am disappointed that they permanently took out the buffet. It was one I really enjoyed. The area is now machines…..

This whole island is a great experience. There are beautiful beaches, there is a nice little farmers market where you can buy fresh bread and many other items. Overall a really nice visit when you just want to get away for a day.

With this park, it's all about location. The picnic area, on the Canal side of the road, is right on the water and offers incredible views. The campground is across the highway, set in a treed area, but, like most Washington State Park Campgrounds, the facilities are a bit dated and spaces are tight, especially for some of the large rigs people tend to use today.

There's not a lot to do in the area other than water activities, but it is a beautiful setting.

What a treat. Rated top 10 in Washington state in various ranking, this one did not disappoint. On the contrary. From the well stocked pro shop, the great staff in the restaurant where the food was also delicious and not expensive, to the starter and the lady in the beverage cart, all really nice. The last one gets a special thanks, as we wanted a coke, but did not have cash with us. She gave it to us, thanks again, this does not happen often.

Anyway, the course. For US standards narrow, for European not so narrow. Great lay out, every hole is different. However, miss a fairway and the ball is lost. That is a fact as there is no room for error. Fast and fair greens, plays a bit long, as they keep the fairways wet, so not a lot of roll. Anyway, choose your tee wisely, dont try to be be a hero here. Good carts too, with gps and a free bottle of water.

    Highly recommended!
