What travelers are saying
- Donna GPerth, Australia421 contributionsWe dropped in to see the property and then my husband decided it was not his cup of tea so I came back the following day for the 11 am tour. It was really good and a real introduction into the upper class/arty crowd of the era. The house is amazing and some of the family photos are very touching.
I really enjoyed it. Love the history.Written December 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Try also an extra cheese table, cost a bit more.Written February 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - humanfoodbagBrisbane Region, Australia35 contributionsIt was raining in Adelaide. So unfortunately we were not able to go strawberry picking. The shop had a variety of different jams and condiments. The strawberry waffles from the cafe were so good. I highly recommended a trip here.Written March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DianneandGaryPerth, Australia3 contributionsWhat a thoroughly enjoyable experience we had today at their Cellar Door in Hahndorf. We received a very warm welcome from Clinton and ordered a bottle of the 2023 Rosé and one of their delicious platters. People were popping in and out for tastings, just browsing or buying that special Christmas gift and it was a great way to spend a couple of hours on a chilly afternoon. Clinton was the perfect host and after lunch he gave us a tour of the Members Wine Room and we sampled some of their white and red wines. Absolutely a must visit venue for wine lovers when you are next in Hahndorf.Written December 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrew W1 contributionWorked with Greg to create a unique Claddagh inspired engagement ring, photos don't do it justice! Even during some busy shop hours, I was able to discuss and detail the design before selecting out a rough stone which Greg shaped and polished to perfection. If you're ever in the Hahndorf area, pop in and have a look at the huge range of opal jewellery and stones - at prices that don't break the bank.Written February 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen DToodyay, Australia152 contributionsReally enjoyed our gin blending masterclass - their personal story, a tasting flight, some tips ‘n’ tricks, then you get to ‘play’ with 2 x 200ml beakers of 40% proof gin and a huge array of distilled flavours.
We also stayed for lunch - posh toastie and a unique cocktail #winning.
Highly recommend.Written December 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Started with a local sparkling wine, shared a lobster appetizer, Valentine had the crab pasta, and I had duck. We shared a bottle of a local white that completed the meal. Given a complimentary chocolate dessert and I had a glass of their tawny port. Every thing from service, food, drink was excellent. Met the chef, Jamie, who was approachable and congenial, really rounded out the experience. Worth the ride from Adelaide.Written March 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

One of my favourite wines back in the UK although over in the UK we only find the usual bottles in supermarkets. At this Adelaide venue there are far more to choose from with a variety of price ranges and to suit every palate. Lovely staff too.Written December 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LindajwilHeathcote, Australia255 contributionsWas very expensive for the value of experience when tickets were required for anything other than a few animal interactions and a milking demonstration. It was not my favourite farm destination but the little kids seemed to enjoy it.Written July 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dingo_6152Fremantle, Australia2,040 contributionsLocated on the main street of Hahndorf it is a retail outlet and gallery for fresh, exciting and quality aboriginal art. At the moment it is only open for a few days a week (Thursday and Friday) but you can make an appointment with the owner, Daniel Becker, to view the artworks.
Daniel provides a qualified understanding of the various artists’ and their respective cultures. He is passionate and respectful of these unique indigenous artworks. The pieces in the gallery range from hundreds to thousands of dollars. We found a perfect piece to add to our collection and would recommend anyone in the area to take the time and visit the Aboriginal Art House when you're in Hahndorf.Written May 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
