    .

I haven’t come across a better experience for a special occasion. The setting is fantastic with food and service to match.

The Springs are well laid out and very clean.
The water temperature varies between pools so something for everyone.
The restaurant food is top quality and the staff are excellent..

Totally unexpected great experience learning about alternative Kiwi wine. The owner was passionate about his product and informing his guests of history of his wines made from local fruit. We tasted numerous wines and spirits all of good quality and were well entertained in the process.

We spend a very enjoyable few hours here getting to meet some gentle animals and walk some trails through the bush. The animals seemed healthy and well cared for, although the emu's looked like they could use a bath. We were free to wander the property on which some animals (sheep, ducks, swans, and a couple of kittens) are free to roam and others are in paddocks. All except the pigs will eat from your hand. (The pigs would also, but they might take your finger along with the kibble, so there are warnings not to hand feed them).

The property has a lot of shade so it was a nice stop on a warm sunny afternoon. It's clearly a labor of love. There's nothing fancy here. It's all hand-made signs and kind of cobbled together. To me, that gives it character and charm. There's a 5 km loop trail out the back. We didn't walk the entire length but the part we walked was through dense bush along a stream and it was a very pleasant walk.

I'm conflicted about keeping wild animals in zoos, but most of the animals here are domesticated and couldn't survive in the wild. Compared to many of their factory-farmed relatives, these animals have a very nice life.

I think this would be a great stop for anyone, but particularly good if you're traveling with children (and able to supervise them). There were several families there with you children who were having a great time feeding and looking at the animals. There are some sheep and swans running free that could be intimidating to small children, but they didn't seem aggressive at all.

We left early to do this as it was a hot sunny day. We caught the ferry from Whitianga and then you have a choice of following the road to Flaxmill Bay, or taking the track over the hills. We did the track on the way there and the road on the way back. The hike is stunning - beautiful bush, but lots of up and down and steps. The track isn’t well signposted. If in doubt, chose the path that goes up! The path is not a smooth even track, so be prepared! We loved it - wonderful views along the way. At Flaxmill Bay we had a coffee at the cafe and then did the loop track around Shakespeare Cliff. This was well signposted. We didn’t go down to Lonely Bay (too hot, too many steps) but it would be beautiful to visit.
We headed back to the Ferry Landing via the lovely old cemetery to get the ferry back to Whitianga.
All up we took about 3 hrs with many photo stops, and didn’t rush. You can also visit Cooks Beach if you have enough time. We even saw a of of dolphins out to see from the cliff lookout point!
This was a wonderful morning hike but it’s worth taking a map.

Absolute gorgeous view from the seating area. Lovely atmosphere and quick service. Had the wine flight and some of the pizzas, both equally delicious. Super friendly staff. 10/10 would go again

A maze of rooms all filled with quality exhibits.our family spent a lot longer there than we thought we would as there was something interesting around every corner. Friendly staff, great location and lovely premises. Pricing seemed a little high if you have a family if 5 adults but overall, it was worth it.

Amazing selection of beautiful birds, there were a lot of them and they were all stunning. The farm park part was fun too as were the swings, peacocks and pigs.
A lovely place to visit, I would definitely go again.

The staff here are awesome - friendly, helpful and fun. Sheryl, found us accommodation for our budget in town which was awesome. In fact I think it might end up being for an extra night than initially planned. Please support this wonderful iSite

We visited here on the way back from Whitianga, I was expecting to pass an hour doing some simple kids activities.

Never in a million years was I expecting the Football Golf to be in such an amazing surrounding, the Lazer Tag to be such awesome tech and user friendly.

The kids also had a crack at target shooting which was really well done, very safe and exciting for them.

The biggest supprise of all was how inexpensive it was. We were there for for almost 3 hours of action packed fun all for $35 a head for the kids.

Could not recommend this place high enough, kids or adults will have a ball.

Stunning Beach sandwiched between cliffs and backed by steep forest. You can park a car at the top of the track that leads down to it but if you're feeling fit, it's walkable from the ferry over the other side of Shakespeare cliff lookout, good for views of where you're headed!
Some shaded places to sit and chill and a great swim but was a bit rough getting in when we went.
There's no loos and the nearest cafe is back in Maramaratotara Bay..The Eggsentric Cafe'

We go to Whitianga often as we have a holiday home there. It has grown a lot and there are many attractions in the town and leaving from the town. There are some large grocery and general stores in town and the petrol is cheaper than it is in Auckland.

The playground is fun for kids, ours definitely enjoyed it when we took them last. This time we discovered a little gem for little girls.... a fairy house. Its on the beach, see if you can find it.
