Children’s paradise. Close encounters with sea animals. Extensive viewing tanks. Lots of space for kids to safely run. Respectful patrons.

The process to purchase tickets online was easy & convenient. Upon arrival to the terminal, my husband & I found the terminal very clean with tables to enjoy the lunch we brought along while we waited for departure. The restrooms were also very clean. Passengers queued up for boarding. The staff assisted with luggage and we enjoyed sitting back and relaxing for the 70 minute trip. The ship was very clean and the seats comfortable...even took a short nap. The dock at Avalon was within walking distance to our hotel and the walk was very pretty.

We went at night in early January, and most of the Christmas lights appeared to still be on. Easy to find parking at that time and we enjoyed it. Ran into some of the Chads and Beckys who live in this expensive neighborhood, and they seemed to be very welcoming and friendly.

Our family of five stayed overnight on the Queen Mary. The ship is very impressive. The staterooms have been modernized somewhat, but you can still get the feel of the ship from the 1930s when it was built. The hallways, decks, and staircases are very grand.

I recommend taking the time to tour the ship. You can see the elegance that made a transatlantic crossing a very memorable experience. Highlights for me were the bridge and the engine room.

We ate in two of the restaurants. The quality of the food was very good. Prices were high which is to be expected at a venue such as this.

We went in February and it was cold throughout the ship.

Very nice place to visit. A must if you are in the area, with nice views the aquarium and nice rest area by the see. The front line is cosy for couples and families.

Nice to walk around - a good variety of shops and restaurants, though quite a few of the restaurants are pricey and some of the shops look like the type of place where you might struggle to get a refund after a few days... but nice to browse

This is one of the most amazing places to visit. When you walk around. You don't even know you're in a city. It's beautiful, peaceful, and fully every historic significance. Highly recommend a visit and step back into history

We'd visited Banning Museum and Rancho Los Alamitos, so Rancho Los Cerritos was next on our list. All provide a different slice of history. Rancho Los Cerritos is a large adobe home built in 1844 and restored in the 1930s. We reserved a tour ahead of time and that's the way to get the best tour. Our excellent docent took us room by room explaining how each was originally used when a ranch and later when the family returned in the 1930s. He incorporated the history of the area, told stories about the sequence of owners, the development of the surrounding area, and the architectural history of the additions, improvements, and gardens. It is a well-preserved gem worth a visit. There is a gift shop and rest rooms in the visitors center.

What a pleasant small setting. A great blue heron landed and fished in the pond and humming birds abounded. Lovely blossoms were drifting like a gentle snow beautifully landing on some of the greenery. Plenty of places to be present, contemplate, and be. Tip: Have low expectations as it is a small space, well worth the visit. Tip: Great place for a book to bring.

We took our little dogs to this dog beach to join my sister who brought her standard poodle. While her dog loved to play catch, jumping into the water to get the ball, our dogs did not want anything to do with getting wet. They were ok with walking in the sand though.

The beach isn't the cleanest but dogs don't care about that? The other beach we have gone to (Seal Beach) doesn't allow dogs on the beach. Parking is cheap in the lot. I believe we paid 50 cents for the 1/2 hr we were there.
