No need to buy anything to enjoy here- though we bought an ice cream each. :)
We walked up to the church and back down in our short time here, finding the shops interesting because there are high-end shops, and also little local businesses- one book shop looks like it's from Harry Potter!
We included a little time on the middle level, seeing what the locals shop for.
We would have liked more time to visit, but even for a short time, it's time well spent.

Visited shimla recently. Preferred to stay in shoghi which is 14 kms before shomla. From shoghi , took mmy car to shomla in evening and parked near lift . Got the lift straight to library . Weather was excellent . Good sunshine in day but cooler in evening. People had started igniting wood to relief from cold winds . Ridge was not much rush

Did a tour here, and it was fun. This historic Victorian theatre was the centre of cultural entertainment for the elite in the British Raj days.
Great to see it restored and still producing plays.
    Short tour of around 20
Minutes going up on stage and up to the balcony as well as hearing about the history of this fine theatre.
The enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff is palpable. Only shame is we couldn’t have attended the interesting looking production tonight

This church is an interesting Victorian space.
The plaques lining the walls are memorials to those lost in India during the British Raj era and are fascinating. Some nice stained glass too. This is a good spot to relax and reflect just yards from the hubbub of town.

The place is definitely worth the visit, when you are in Kufri. We went during winter, after snowfall had just hit the place. We went up the mountain portly by car, then rest by jeep (requires 4WD). They took us to a viewing area atop the hill, where there were snow activities, such as ski-ing and tubing. As you leave the top, on your way down, you can stop at the many scenic spots to view the grand mountain side filled with greenery and some snow.

An interesting temple dedicated to the goddess Kali with British-inspired architecture. It is rather unusual and you can also spend some time observing the rituals of pilgrims pouring water while praying.

Visited here using Ropeway which was too costly in my opinion but it was worth spending. The hill top is just awesome. But be aware of Monkeys they will come to you like anything and Take Prashad from you , But if you don't have parashad they will take your stuff Mobile phone, Gogle specs and all.

But in a nice and peaceful area you can easily spend the entire day here.

Must Visit if you are here in Shimla
