Quite expensive entry at $6 but a fabulous place to swim and relax for a few hours. Great shade deck, good coffee, a book swap box. What's not to like.

A lovely walk that is easy to do , a few steps along the way but nothing too strenuous. The views are wonderful along the whole walk.We gave Magic Point a miss as there were a few people there and went straight to Boora Point. So pleased we did as we saw two groups of whales a little way off shore , breaching , slapping their tales the whole thing , it was fantastic to see, we feel so lucky.

Easy to get to on the Tram, great facilities. The new Winx stand is huge but empty on my day, great to be there when there was not a crowd.

What a stunning location with a very chill vibe. Went on a random Monday at 1pm and mid tide. Water was beautiful and everyone was very chill. Swimming in the pool and looking out over the seascape was bliss. Its a women only pool which i think makes it super laid back. Parking on the street at this time was easy and free. Many amazing cafes very close by.

This pool would be okay on a calm day, which today was not. The swell was significant which swamped the pool and surrounds. There are plenty of park benches for seating as well as public toilets and change room above, next to the carpark.

La Perouse was a French master mariner who narrowly avoided claiming Australia for France. His name has persisted since those early days. La Perouse became a mission station for Aboriginal people. These days, around one-third of the population of La Perouse has an indigenous background. The La Perouse Museum is a memorial to this fascinating man.

Located on the south eastern edge of the precinct is the Herron Pedal Park. An area for children leaning to ride their bicycles while also learning some of the road rules. A nice, safe, environment for all involved.

This beach on the western side of La Perouse is within Botany Bay and is completely protected from rough seas. It is a good spot for families, especially those with young children: the water is tranquil, there are picnic tables, a good playground as well as toilets etc. La Perouse's cafe strip is close by. The sand is clean and the water clear and there is good bush regeneration happening behind the beach. What more could you want?

If you are going to Congwong, which you should, get there early for close parking, or be prepared for a bit of a walk. There are cars circling everywhere looking for elusive, close parking spaces.
There are no facilities on the beach, just (pretty disgusting) toilets up on the street. The beach is a short, not too steep walk from the car park. There’s no surf, just clean, clear water.
If you want to swim aunatural, there is a track to Little Congwong at the far end.
Congwong is a great beach for families with toddlers and a favourite for people out just for a tan. There are bins at the far end of the beach but not much else. Bring plenty of water!
When you are done, there is usually an ice cream truck on the street and there are a couple of cafés within walking distance.
