This is a wonderful Museum located in the heart of the county town of Hertford. It has a mixture of local exhibits relating to Hertford and its history, along with some world exhibits collected by the founders which are fascinating. The Museum is typically open Tuesday to Saturday and also on a Sunday from 12 to 4pm.

3 adults and a 15 year old visited here (again) last night on one of there opening evenings. Again absolutely brilliant! The sky was stunning even the ISS flew over! All the domes were open each had great speakers inside and got to look through one telescope to see the moon! All the information from the students is so interesting! Highly recommended especially if the weather is clear! ⭐️🌙👍🏻

Really lovely open park with loads of paths and plenty of water (river and lakes). There's a lovely spot on the river walk with a "pebble beach" where the dogs are allowed to enter the water and have a bathe. Most people we saw had their dogs off the lead but it was all very friendly. I've dropped one star off the rating as the car park has a 2 metre height restriction with a bar across the entrance at that height. We only found out when we pulled off the main road to enter the car park (Thieves Rd entrance) and our 4WD with our roof box on it was not going to fit, so we had to gingerly reverse back out onto the main road and find somewhere else to park. Apparently there is also a £2.50 car park fee if you do manage to get onto the car park. Overall though a really great park to go with the kids and dogs.

Visited just before Xmas with a substantial Xmas fair and music laid out on the castle front lawn. Interesting history with castle much older than it looks. Nice grounds and original moat worth a stroll around on a visit to Hertford.

This was our first time here and what a find! It is a huge open space with great places to walk, exercise, ride your bikes. There are some really nice, really big play areas too (my children loved it!) You could go for a romantic stroll, a meet up with mates, family picnic or find a quiet place to read a book here. Something for everyone.

Delightful small country church just a short walk from town. Knapped flint construction with rounded end and wooden topped tower.

Lovely find on the doorstep of the campsite we were staying at. Great area for walks with open areas and good paths, and superb selection of specimen trees - pollarded oaks, hugs eucalyptus, limes, cedars, and many more.

I was visiting Hertford so decided to pay a visit to the tourist information centre.

Located across the road from the theatre and near the River Lea there was lots of Hertford/Hertfordshire Merchandise available to buy including mugs and pens. There is also a gallery selling paintings.

When I arrived I was encouraged to sign in using the Serco track and trace app. The staff were friendly and helpful and social distancing was observed.

Just back today from a great Glamping trip with some friends. We stayed for two nights and its a great/peaceful location. The views from the Safari tent as the sun was going down was bliss, with a lake right in front. The staff were very friendly, alongside access to a pet shop which was great for last minuet essentials for our Pup. There was fresh bread and milk provided which was very handy alongside lovely tasting Scones, cream and jam. The only criticism I have from our stay is just how not very dog friendly the actual Safari tent was itself. There is a gate on the decking and the bottom clip was barely hanging on, making it very easy for my dog to slide underneath, which meant he was on the lead for the majority of the stay to ensure he couldn't get out of that area. There was also parts of the fencing around the decking area that were loose and actually ended up coming off, which lead to a rather large gap (compared to the size of my dog) to get out of also. As a result of this we had to place the BBQ in front in hope this escape route would not be brought to his attention. The farm shop Cafe was slightly pricey, we had 4 bacon rolls, 3 milk shakes and tea and it came to around £30. There is a really great burger shack located on sight and the food was amazing alongside some really cheap prices. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return but maybe in one of the cabins instead of the safari tent.

Originally I was declined food at the door but after the staff had spoken to the manager they gave me back the food and offered me support which made me feel really included for my diabetic status. I would definitely go pack to popworld as the staff are a lot more considerate of a wide variety of illnesses.
