Saw this interesting cinema on a recent trip to Lynton. We booked to see a film (Wicked Little Letters) to try it out. Set in a small converted chapel it’s a delight and a throwback to the olden days of cinemas. Small entrance with a cheery personal greeting, and a paper ticket dispenser. The cinema has 55 seats (comfy and spacious), a smallish screen, but large enough for the room, and good sound. We spent some time afterwards talking to #billthemovie, who was responsible for setting it up and running the show- an enthusiastic inspirational man and story. If you’re in the area, check it out.

This is a collection that has been built up by the owner over the years and it is truly stunning.
This place might well be small and the charge is nothing but there is an absolute shed load of toys from time gone by to take a look at, bringing back memories.
I have some late teenagers and they were really into looking at the items.
Some of the displays are unbelievable for the number of characters they have been able to collect.

The place is amazing it maybe a small cottage but it has lots of things inside from 2 different households their dollshouse their toys and kitchen/scullery objects. The guide is a wonderfuly friendly and knowledgeable lady and whatever you need to know she could tell you as well as a mini tour guide before you explore too.

Exceptionally helpful staff who give useful and expert advice. Lots of useful information on display and many leaflets to take away. Limited range of items on sale but what they have is really useful and good quality.

This rather short and not very steep walk from Lynton can be combined with a stretch of the Coastal Path. The view from Hollerday Hill is spectacular!

Part of the Lorna Doone trail on Exmoor. Sit quietly as the water tumbles over the rocks beneath the bridge. Absorb the history of the place. The old stone bridge made many years ago. Nooks and crannies created by weathering day in day out. Feel the spirits of those long gone.

Lovely church with a great view over Lynmouth from rear of grounds / graveyard. Several hundred years old and charts the history of local parishioners / worshippers.
Currently an appeal for funding for repairs due to damp at rear.
Very relaxing both inside , and outside with benches for quiet reflection.

Woody bay steam railway. Not too badly priced but the trip is only 25 minutes long. We expected a round trip but it just goes back and forth on the same line and most of the time is taken up with the engine changing ends

Wonderful secluded little beach which made a difference from the vast expanse of Woolacombe Bay and Saunton Sands where we had been earlier in the week. Crystal clear water and shallow which was ideal for the children.

Wringcliff Bay feels like a secret location made extra special because it takes some getting to, we felt like the Famous Five on a special adventure!

This is a lovely place to visit with very good quality Art, Glass and Ceramics. Colour is put to good use in the pictures and some of the sea scapes were very good indeed.

Excellent riding stables. Chris and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. All the horses are beautifully looked after and much loved. My two teens loved it so much we returned the next day for another ride on the moors. Definitely the high light of our holiday in Exmoor. We will certainly return !!!!

We stumbled across this little church after a visit to the Blue Ball Inn for lunch. A beautiful country church full of old world charm surrounded by stunning scenery.

I love crafts and there were so many different ones on display here - a veritable cornucopia! There was something for everyone, from cards and food to jewellery and ceramics and wall art. And I thought that it was really well set out and displayed. I bought some earrings, but there were lots more that I could have bought. Dog friendly and a must to visit when in Lynton.

Noticed this shop on my initial wander around Lynton on my first night of arrival and visited before our departure.
There is a really nice display of candles which are made on the premises and the owner/ maker is willing to have a chat.
The family bought some of the scented candles and I purchased a couple of the ones with the shells at the bottom which I thought looked stunning and apparently aren't easy to make.
They do have a website and to be honest the shell pictures do not do them justice as they look stunning in the flesh.

Good selection of books, organised well in a nice setting. One of us bought a book and found that when we got home it was signed!
