This is a small, but excellently laid out museum of the local history of the city. Centered around KAMAZ, the primary industry dedicated to the building of heavy trucks (celebrating their 50th anniversary of their founding). Artifacts cover a period of around 1,500 years, up to and including the founding of the modern city. I was fortunate to have an English speaking docent, but you can easily move about the museum (which has explanations in 3 languages - Russian, Tatarish and English). Approximately $5 to enter, if no English speaking docent is available, you can still tour the museum, but an employee will follow you around (standard policy for all museums, which do not allow you to wander around unescorted). If visiting, ask about the fascinating story of Ivan Ivanovitch Utrobin (of WW2 fame). His picture is on the lower level in the WW2 section.
