What travelers are saying
- Jason PSan Francisco, CA142 contributionsIt is a visually stunning park. We were fortunate to capture this in the fog. I was personally very aggravated during my visit but the photos came out nicely.Written November 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bertrande80Singapore, Singapore227 contributionsWe tried two different hotpots here, a pumpkin soup base and a herbal soup base. Both were good. Food was delicious and fresh although we felt the meats could have been leaner (or in the alternative a wider variety of meats could be offered). Two hot pots were sufficient for 3 adults and two children but we did supplement with extra meats. Service was patchy as they were short staffed and no beverages were served except for self service water. Mainly locals and local tourists - it was very crowded and we were the only non Taiwanese guests at the restaurant. The grounds are great for walking as well. Recommended.Written September 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- David HUnion City, CA8,054 contributionsMaybe it’s low season, so the view is so so. Or I should say, the view is not that good, so it’s low season now. Anyway, the views (facing Taiwan strait) are still not bad. I can imagine st high season, the view should be great.Written June 16, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Liu ying chenTaoyuan, Taiwan1 contributionIn the summer vacation of the previous few years , I went to the Monster Village in Nantou for two days and one night . I ate rose-flavored ice cream there , it was delicious . The hotel there is also great , with bathtub , two double beds , sofa and TV . There are many statues of monsters , it was very cute . I hope to go again .Written September 20, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mairwen1United Kingdom9,567 contributionsLantau Peak base is only a short 15 minute walk from the Big Buddha. This is the second highest mountain in Hong Kong and highest on Lantau Island (934m) and is a popular (if punishing) hike to the very top. The hike will not be on the to-do list for most tourists, but anyone doing the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car ride and Big Buddha, can easily walk around to the base. It’s worth taking the extra time to do this because it is so strikingly scenic.
The pyramid-like Peak was formed from volcanic activity during the Jurassic period. The volcanic rocks give it a rugged, angular look as it rises up sharply from the surrounding landscape. At the base, is the Wisdom Path, a simple but powerful set of monumental wooden pillars carved with the complete verses of the Heart Sutra.
The path from the Buddha is well sign-posted and is a flat, paved walk the whole way.Written August 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The exhibits include not only tea and tea culture from a historical perspective but also modern day processing methods. If you're in Lugu, this shouldn't be missed.Written August 31, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
