We found Masai Mara Holidays Ltd on the internet and were immediately impressed by Daniel’s quick response behavior. Our 8 Day Kenya & Tanzania tour was organized to our schedule, but mainly we relied Daniel’s expertise. Upon arrival to JKIA, the managing director Chris and Josh our guide picked us up to drive to the lodge in Masai Mara Kenya where we spent the 3 nights. Our trip proceeded well into the Serengeti and Ngorongoro in Tanzania. I can confidently say that I recommend this itinerary for visitors seeking to explore the best of East Africas wildlife. And the proper organization of Masai Mara Holidays should be your one stop for it. Our two experienced drivers, Josh in Kenya and Peter in Tanzania were extremely friendly, customer-oriented and answered really every question we asked. They made us feel very comfortable from the first minute and it has been a big pleasure spending these 8 days with the Masai Mara Holidays team!

We booked the 5 day / 4 night Kenyan Safari - Amboseli to Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara. Ours was a private tour in a jeep which gives the whole experience a very authentic feel. It’s a comprehensive trip as you take in varied scenery, lots of game and there are opportunities to enhance your package (e.g hot air balloon over the Mara National Park). Our itinerary has matched the package we bought exactly and we have seen and done everything we hoped for. Our guide (Raymond) and his colleague (Kevin) were excellent - friendly, very informed, prompt and clearly highly experienced. Raymond was careful to understand what we wanted to see and what we liked/ didn’t like. He understood when to engage in conversation and when to let us have some private time. I really appreciated his driving - he is confident in a 4 wheel drive vehicle and he was careful on the main roads. He knows everyone so he was always clued in as to where to look for the game and some of the prettiest spots for lunch.
I have scored this experience 4/5 for three reasons:
There is a lot of driving between national parks - a lot. We are use to long car journeys and Raymond made a point of stopping at viewpoints and toilets on a regular basis. But if you are not use to long journeys I expect you would find this hard. I think the website should be more explicit about the travel between parks.
The accommodation is poor. The best lodge we stayed at was the Lake Nakuru Lodge (for facilities, the room, the food, the the activities). This is classified as luxury on the website. It is not luxury. It is probably standard - maybe mid range. The other lodges were both AA Lodges and I was very disappointed - hard beds, old linen, cold showers and limited facilities. For the amount we paid I expected better.
It is an expensive trip and if you don’t manage to see everything (and that is a real risk because this is wildlife after all) or if your guide is not exceptional I can imagine you would be disappointed. I think we were probably very lucky.
The safari part of our trip is over. We transfer to Nairobi tomorrow to have lunch at Carnivore before heading to the airport. I am looking forward to this as I think it will be a fitting end to a memorable holiday

My family had a wonderful experience with Mattaw for our June 2022 safari! Bud was responsive and helpful during the planning stage, and we absolutely adored Charles, who was our driver for the Nairobi portion. Mattaw's prices were very competitive and we really enjoyed working with a smaller operator who was very familiar with Kenya and could provide great local advice.

We went on a 10-day big-5 safari with Geoff Mayes and his Amazing Africa Tours. We started in Ol Pejeta, went to the Oserengoni Sanctuary and finished at the Amazing Mara Camp in the Masai Mara. What do we have to say about our trip? LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.

The first LOCATION: Geoff put together a superb itinerary for us. We were all struck by the diversity of Kenya as each stop was so different from the last, and each had its own treasures to offer. Such cool destinations. Geoff's experience in Kenya clearly paid off when it came to the itinerary. We would have missed so much if we tried to put it together ourselves.

The second LOCATION: Throughout the 10 days, we ended up finding ourselves in the right place at just the right time. Geoff was able to negotiate with a massive bull elephant to let us spend time with him as the sun went down in Ol Pej. We found ourselves completely alone with a Leopard with its kill in a tree in Oserengoni. And we were constantly the first car to the nearby prides in the Mara. He has great staff and great instincts, and they help get us where we needed to be. Having a private guide paid off here 110%.

And then the last LOCATION has to be in reference to his camp in the Mara. We would wake up, have a quick coffee, and within 15 minutes be with a pride of lions. The next day, after a 15 minute drive from the camp, we would be with a different pride of lions. It really seemed like the location was hand picked for convenience and location to Mara's treasures. As if the location wasn't enough, the camp is awesome - wonderful tented camp with great staff.

You get the full service with Geoff and Amazing Africa Tours. Logistics were incredibly smooth and Geoff was helpful, friendly, super informed and a delight to be around (despite his constant puns, 1 in 5 are funny....yes we kept track....hahah). Having him as our guide truly did give us the experience of a lifetime. We all think that he is the real deal and is a big player in the safari world. Get in now before Geoff becomes too big and busy!

It was a wonderful trip full of laughters and surprises. The animals always impressed us by their behavior, they are “real wildlife”, not like those in the zoos. We both like our guide Ali, he is very experienced, friendly and know very much about the wild. Highly recommended Ali to be your guide, he is reliable, friendly, moreover he can also speaks French fluently👍
We plan to visit again in 2020, though now the pandemic make traveling seems impossible. But we sure to visit again when the pandemic ends.

We had a fantastic trip to the Mara. Our tour agent Loice provided us with all the information we needed and selected an ideal place for our family of 5. In addition, our tour guide Kariuki ensured we had a comfortable ride and we got to see a large number of animals in the Masai Mara - Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants, Gazelles, Topis, Wildebeast. It was a first-time experience and are sure to return. Our children 6 and 8 years old had fun and have a lifetime of memories. The migration right in front of our eyes was a sight to behold...with the hippos and crocodiles in the river as the animals crossed.

We had the most amazing time during our holiday! 1000% would reccomand.

We were traveling with the family of four. That was the best choice we could make: we have seen big 5 and much, much more.
Excellent staff - starting with Steve - so helpful, with immediate responses via whatsapp
    ending with awesome guide James.
The food was very ok as much as the trasportation.
We tottaly recommend this company, the whole journey we didn't have to worry about anything.
Even trasportation from the Airport and back was included.
Thank You Steve and all the staff for this amazing and unforgettable trip.

My wife and I used Nature Trails expeditions for visiting people, going out on safaris and some business days as well. We gave Joseph an impossible itenerary and he put the whole thing together perfectly. he exceeded our expectations in every way. He was efficient, patient skillful and very friendly.
He gave us safaris at Amboseli park and in the Masi Mara. We found nearly every kind of wildlife possible, it was incredible!
Joseph made contact with our friends and the organizations we were working with even though it was trying and complicated. He always gave us his best.

We had a very nice and good tour with driver and guide Graham! We started in Nairobi, drove to Amboseli and after that to Masai Mara, in total a trip of 5 days. He was a very warm personality, taking good care of us, driving very safely (which is very important while traveling with your family!) and knowing just when and where to take us to see the wildlife. We can definitely recommend Graham as a driver and guide!

Arusha home of Tanzanite gemstone with vibrant food market where you could meet local food preparation for sale .

When you meet Arusha expect to meet surprisingly good cafe cultures including coffee shops to save you with a cup of joe.
In Arusha you could meet a large number of museums starting with Arusha declaration museum, National history museum and the rest .Ngorongoro conservation area and mto wa mbu trip by bicycle where you could meet local people and get to know several craftsmanships , fertile soil and its plantation.
