We were dropped off at near topmost part of the bridge. But roads where we are standing is quite shaky , can feel the tremors with vehicles of different weights come by. We took some photos, then descended down to the signage proving we are indeed in the longest bridge in the country.

This place should be renamed "Shrine to Imelda Marcos" lol, cos the elderly but energetic guide who showed me around was absolutely in love with the current president's mother. Every room had her footprint on it. All kinds of memorabilia of Imelda in there. Nevertheless it was an interesting insight into this fine building.

"M/V Eva Jocelyn" is the large cargo vessel that was swept ashore in the coastal barangay of Anibong amid the huge storm surge triggered by the deadly super typhoon exactly five years ago.

The bow of the ship has been transformed by the city government into a tourist spot. Rest of the vessel has been removed.

You can temporarily park on the road during your visit. Don’t need a lot of time there. Good 15-20 minutes is enough to visit and use the photo opportunity.
No costs involved. Worth a stopover during the city tour.

We were curious about the red beach and thought maybe the sand is red, but it has deeper meaning along with the history... You will find Gen. DouGlas MacArthur and his men. Its quite a walk from the highway going there....

Just like any other shopping mall. Has restaurants clothes etc etc. Would advise not going here on weekends there are just to many people.Public transport at back and front of shopping mall on main street. Plenty of car park spaces at the rear. Remember its a one way system when driving around it. Go hotel part of the shopping mall also

Awesome building with a huge garden and few monuments placed around. Wonderful to walk around and grab the photo opportunity. One can only enter the lobby of the building. Not permitted to go further inside. But worth the visit when touring the city. No entry fee and parking is available.

This is a nice clean place to visit for the day and your family will enjoy it. The entrance fee is cheap and it's worth the money. We went yesterday and everywhere I looked the staff was busy cleaning. Nobody was sitting on their butt except the security who was behind the desk. The food was decent and the beverages were cold.
Despite the one small sign telling you where to turn and the sometimes mud road, it's worth it.

Also known as Goddess of Peace located just beside the Tacloban City Hall. It was erected 33 years after WWII in memoriam of the brave soldiers who lost their lives and as a symbol of peace between the Japanese & Filipino people. From what I've seen, looks like the places hasn't been taken cared off. Really sad ! Anyway, still happy to see this place for my Leyte visit. I still recommend this for tourist ! This is part of history.

This falls is one of the hidden, but accessible beauties of the Tacloban mountains. Its close to famous san junaica bridge. I wish the local government promotes it as a tourist attraction.

The Korean park was built by Korean army who helped the people of Leyte, Philippines -- particularly those in Tacloban, Palo and Tanauan -- restore their homes, schools and livelihood after the wrought of Supertyphoon Haiyan (or Yolanda in our local name).

First of all...."White Beach" isn't white sand beach. This was the code name for the location of the beach near Tacloban airport in World War II. Just like Red Beach in Palo and I think Yellow Beach in Dulag. Each beach were allied landing zones. White Beach is just a little north of Baluerte towards the airport and the very last private beach entrance before the runway. The beach last I was there has grayish sand and murky waters that needs dredging. Red Beach is where MacArthur park is located with black sand, the water is better but there are a lot of metal in the water so be careful....these are remnants from the war. Dulag has the best beach among the three but waves are huge and the sand is close to white.

Believe me, I want to write a stunning review. But.... during a weekday, daylight hours...these grounds are currently closed. Gates were locked, guard would not let me in, and based on looking at earlier traveller pictures, the building and grounds are in a period of major neglect. Maybe somebody has a plan in the works, but right now, you would have nothing more than a sidewalk view. This is a pity considering the considerable Filipino and American history that this building offers. Rating this as Average is the best I can do, only because I am still happy that I saw it, and was at least near the pace where such historic events took place. Unless you are very excited and imaginative about history and architecture.... I would be hard-pressed to tell you to go out of your way to see the sadness of this disrepair.
