- palawanismyhomePalawan Island, Philippines24,356 contributionsFort Santa Isabel was constructed by the Spanish 350 years ago and still stands today. It was once surrounded by water but 20 years ago the local authorities reclaimed the sea around it. The fort is constructed from black rock, and has a small museum. A church stands in the center of the fort and some old cannons can also be seen.Written September 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - palawanismyhomePalawan Island, Philippines24,356 contributionsThe falls are quite difficult to find and for sure it is best to visit during the rainy season. There is a sign for the falls a kilometer or so before you reach the town. While in the area don't forget to take the road before the school and drive down to the sea where the pier is located. Here you will see a hundred fishing bangkas in the shallow water, as well as fish farms.Written January 25, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - palawanismyhomePalawan Island, Philippines24,356 contributionsNot many people know about this lake, and even fewer people visit it, but it is well worth a short visit if you are in the area. It is about 10 kms before Taytay if you are heading north, and at the junction you have to sign a visitors book, then continue down the track for about 5 kms until you reach a clearing by the lake. You can rent kayaks here and possibly go fishing or camp the night. Be aware that there are no facilities or sari sari store here, but it is tranquil and pleasant there.Written September 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AgnieszkaHSCardiff, UK22 contributionsWe did a turtle and island hopping tour. Great communication and the tour arranged to a great detail at a very short notice. We were snorkelling and have seen many turtles and the beautiful reef. Delicious lunch on the boat with seafood and fruits prepared by our guide Lalai who with the whole crew looked after us and was very accommodating. I would recommend the tour and their service. Thank you and best wishes from Magdalena, Aggie and Peter.Written April 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
