The gift shop is more diverse than typical for railroad museums, and also probably a bit more skewed to the educational and historical although it does also cater to the general tourist.
I have been to quite a few transportation museums and most have the bulk of their displays outside, but this one has well preserved train engines and rolling stock inside a large well lighted building.

All car museums have nicely restored cars but here they display them in vignettes that are appropriate to the age of the car with other vintage items that set the scene.
Many vehicles were lovingly restored and donated to the museums collection.

Punched the buttons on the GPS for Museums, and the Watch and Clock Museum sounded the most interesting of all of the options.
Fun and fascinating at the same time - if you or your children are inquisitive and enjoy learning something new, you'll love this museum (not to mention the free parking and cool gift shop).

It was fascinating to explore the history and fate of this German-American sect, through museum exhibits, recorded music and an excellent guided tour by a local history teacher.
A small, but beautiful collection of artifacts are in the museum at the visitor center; there is an informative video you watch before the tour; the museum gift shop is filled with local artists' creations.

Unlike some private museums, this is well organized and signed, with easy to read plaques for each display.
As a history major and a Masters in Museum Studies I really enjoy museums but find so often let down by the lack of engagement, collection or worth the money.
