It seems this is the first review of this tour on TripAdvisor and I'm not surprised having been on it. Firstly, this should not be called a "tour" by any standard definition. It is closer to having private transport albeit without the benefits of flexibility. My wife and I were the only people on the tour, picked up in a standard taxi, which should have been the first red flag. We were then driven to Flower Forest, expecting that our tour guide would accompany us and provide an actual tour of the place. Instead we were handed a map and a few pictures/names of the flowers and just told we had to be back at the entrance in 45 mins, for the next stop.
Well the next stop was meant to be a 15 minute trip to Morgan Lewis Sugar Mill. We were told 15 mins actually means a 5 minute stop to take a photo, so we couldn't look inside. Even worse, our driver wasn't even planning to stop there, just drive right past it until I said the website mentioned this as a main stop. That's better than Barclays Park which wasn't mentioned at all.
The crowning glory though was St. Nicholas Abbey. The SunTours website includes this description "he heritage railway is a new and thrilling family attraction. A steam locomotive travels through the plantation fields and mahogany woods, ending with the expansive hilltop view from Cherry Tree Hill. Cherry Tree Hill offers a breathtaking view of the rugged and wind-swept East Coast and Scotland District.". Except the tour doesn't include the train ride, so why mention the review at all? We complained that this was false advertising only to be told by the driver what did we expect for the 4 hour trip? Well, we didn't know the timings and it was perfectly possible that the hour included a short look round the house before the train journey. We asked for the driver to talk to SunTours to make clear this was false advertising. After 5 minutes of waiting and not getting through to anyone (and with time ticking away) we cut our losses and went to the house. This at least had our first tour guide (provided by the venue not SunTours) and was quite enjoyable. However again we had the allotted time to return and had to cut short the rest of the video explaining the rum production and the subsequent tasting. In fairness the driver did allow us to go back for the tasting after we explained. The driver said she spoke to SunTours who took no responsibility and said we had a confirmation email so everything was fine. Well, yes but that confirmation was based on a false description. In the UK, this would be a trading standards matter. Overall it left a bitter taste in the mouth. SunTours could have accepted responsibility, agreed to change their website, or sought to recover the situation. They completely failed to do this and acted like once they had their money they didn't care what service they gave customers. I would never user them again and encourage everyone to look for a more reputable tour company to avoid a similar experience.
