What travelers are saying
- Susana DToronto55 contributionsLovely and clean beach. The waters are a bit rough but it is fun to jump the waves! You need to pay for the umbrellas (US$5) a dayWritten 26 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Francis COakville, Canada14 contributionsLovely church. We attended on Jan 15, which was also the day the church completed its 50th anniversary. Therefore we were part of the congregation and had a group picture of the congregation taken with a zoom camera. Great priest and friendly congregation.Written 26 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Departure2788771 contributionCarla was knowledgeable in tradition of Yoga. Her class was suitable and adaptable for all. She was in tune with her students’ needs and abilities. Her delivery soft and effective. The venue suited the style of Yoga. I highly recommend for new to Yoga and seasoned practitioners. Will definitely return before leaving beautiful Barbados and when next here.Written 10 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael BBellflower, CA23,438 contributionsA lovely white-painted church was built in 1837, on a small rise in the heart of today’s infamous St. Lawrence Gap. It seems an odd place for it to be the church to be surrounded by dozens of bars and restaurants. But in the past, this area was called Bath Village and the Church/school was built to reduce the distance the local people had to walk to pray. From its early years as a chapel to present times, it has been renovated and added on numerous times. St. Lawrence Church today is probably the oldest, most traditional church building in the surrounding area.
The sound of the sea crashing on the rocks below complements the choir, and the gentle Seabreeze flowing through the open church windows gives a peaceful and spiritual feeling.
TIP: Sundays at 9:30 am there is a sung Eucharist & sermon.

- Kaitlyn M4 contributionsNot one to leave reviews but it’s gotten to the point that I feel like I have no choice. My boyfriend and I came to the cove Atlantis for my birthday we read reviews about service but never thought it was as bad as it is. You pay more money to stay at the cove it’s more adult exclusive you can only lay by the cove pool if you’re a cove guest so with that as you can imagine it’s not swamped with people but what it is swamped with is the wait staff all in clicks and circles not providing service for you AT ALL. Showing each other tik toks in a circle laughing. We waited at our pool chairs for 3 hours and not one server came to us asking if we needed anything. When a server is walking by and you say “excuse me” it’s almost as you’re inconveniencing them. Not pleasant at all. I feel that if you’re paying more money to stay at a resort that’s exactly like the other 3 you should definitely get your moneys worth. Very disappointing. As a guest seeing the workers hanging out instead of working is a turn off. I’m on vacation I want to relax. Not chase down employees.Written 13 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Delyth77Llandudno, UK39 contributionsRobert who owns this lovely bar is one of the coolest, laid back vendors I've ever met in St Lawrence Gap. He treats you as a friend and there is no pressure to buy something. Robert has worked hard to make the Reggae Dudes Beach Bar attractive and a cool place to stop and have a beer and a chat with the friendly staff. It is in an ideal location at the entrance of the Seaside Shopping Centre and across the road from the playing fields. You can sit on a stool and watch the world go by or catch up with Bajan news. There are attractive Reggae Dudes souvenir dolls hanging up inside which Robert takes pride in making himself. If you feel peckish you can have a snack before you head on your way into the gap. I look forward to my next visit to Barbados so I can call in and have a refreshing beer and chill out.Written 24 May 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Legume2010London, UK79 contributionsWe really wanted to explore the island by car for a couple of days, so waking down St Lawrence Gap one day we saw the office of Express Car Rental and popped in. The lady in the office was exceptionally friendly and reserved our vehicle for us.
A few days later we popped back, the paperwork and car were all ready for us, so we were off!
It seems as if Express have a slightly older stock of vehicles, with a few more miles on the clock than some others might have. But the car was reliable and served us well for the two days that we went all around the Island. As such there a little cheaper than the main rental companies.
The rates are all inclusive of full insurance and CDW so there’s no hidden extras to pay.
We were already happy with Express and would happily recommend to anyone.. however I’d managed to lose my USB charger somewhere whilst we were out.
On the off chance that it was in the car, I popped back to the office and they had it there and all bagged up for me to collect.
Wonderful service, lovely people and we will be back to come and explore the island some more!Written 24 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
