the steps going down and up are so steep, one needs to be extra careful when traversing them. my friend slipped while climbing up. i had muscle aches in my right thigh the morning after. not to forget the super slippery path going around the whole place. cabugsayan boasts of a series of cascading water terraces that are accident prone if you let your excitement gets ahead of you.

i must say that the trek and 50 pesos entrance fee were worth the scenery we came for. the falls have tarzan swings where an aquamarine pool awaits the diver.

too bad we were not ready to swim. we could have more fun than taking selfies and capture the enchantment of the place.

can't help jerking my foot every time a fish comes near and feeds on my dead skin cells. aside from the loud laughter this elicits, it also brings intermittent tickling sensation.

there's a 20 pesos entrance fee to enjoy the fish spa and get awed by the old balete tree. the pool at its foot is teeming with tilapia of various sizes. tourists took turns to get a taste of this form of massage therapy.

it's surrounded by several souvenir shops selling shirts, key chains, mugs, ref magnets and what-have-you. prices are touristy though, i.e., expensive. restrooms are clean but you need to pay five pesos before use.

A really nice cave experience. I wouldn't call it hard or challenging but definitely not a place you want to take your 70 years old mother or your Manila princess girlfriend.
This should take you roughly 2 hours to do the tour. The cave is 800m long, so back and forth 1.6km.
Bring a boat short/ swim suit because you are going to be VERY wet. If you have one bring a dry bag so you can put your phone and T-shirt inside (there's also a lot of mud). If you don't have any you can rent one for 50php.
Thinking you can go without a helmet or the shoes they provide (like I thought at first) is just arrogance. The helmet saved me a few bumps and the rocks can be sharp and slippery.

All in all a great experience that I highly recommend!

Again, a must-visit site in Siquijor. Very good for snorkeling and while away the time, Tubod beach/marine sanctuary is a great tourist destination in Siquijor. You pay an entrance fee of Php100/pax and another Php300 if you wanted a guide who will bring you under the hidden life of marine creatures. Definitely a good place to snorkel because the water is shallow but clean, and corals are alive. And if you are lucky, you'll get to swim with the turtles too.

Very educational museum and guide was knowledgeable of her subject. The collection was very extensive of local species. They had samples of the golden cowrie and Gloria Maris. I never knew there were heart shaped shells.

It also had an extensive stamp collection. Toilet available in premises.

We were not able to try the restaurant.

Use your google map to find the correct location because some signs will trick you to get there.

This sightseeing beach is a jewel of San Juan , Siquijor, Philippines. The serenity of the place is quite divine, the white sand and blue clear ocean. It is also a sanctuary for marine life. You can ride on a swing and ask for help to the locals in the area as your human drone ( give donations )

Very clean and pristine water, this is Tulapos. Shallow waters and very healthy and good marine life under. This is protected site and the locals, DENR officials, and men in uniform really take good care of the tourists who visits this sanctuary and of course the site. Although not yet develop, it is a very good site to snorkel or even jump off point for scuba diving. A good place to take instagramable pictures too,

I'd come back here myself. It is a nice structure, refurbished by our National Historical Commission. The second floor has a museum documenting the history of the church just across the way and the convent. It is also in a nice environment. The convent and the church exude holiness.

One nice thing about the place is it has nice Comfort Rooms! Though when I went there was no water in the taps.

it was a quick foto-op and visit. the place was quite huge it could not fit our camera frame.

it was buzzing with activities outdoors. there was parlor game going on, a choir practicing on the other end, a lecture being conducted by the bureau of fire protection and a lot of tourists taking photos from all angles of the Church.

we said a quick prayer inside while getting awed by its enormous interior and magnificent architecture. this is truly an attraction which reflects a very rich culture.

One of the beautiful falls of Siquijor, aside from Cambugahay, this falls is also a good place to visit. Unlike Cambugahay that has 135 steps, Lugnason is not that steep and a fun falls too. Going to Cambugahay and Lugnason was a breeze because of my tour guide, kuya dodoy, very friendly local and you can really rely on him. Feel free to contact him at zero nine six nine two eight two two three zero one or you can look for him at the pier. While Lugnason has no human drone to take your pictures up the falls, the guides are very able and knows what angle to shoot you. BTW, all guides at these falls- Cambugahay and Lugnason have been taught or have attended free lessons on the basics of photography, hence they can take good pictures of you. So have a plunge at Lugnason.

Lovely, but closes at 17:00. Every beach needs paying for to enter, to park and to go in the water… 😏
Wed visit again but get there earlier.
