Excellent organization and layout, it is not common to see in a diving center how they optimize spaces (especially the rinsing area), never messy, never dirty. Beautiful swimming pool with few loungers and good restaurant for a deserved lunch after the dives. Staff very good with eagle eye to spot all the marine life that in moalboal is mainly macro and frogfishes, master of camouflage. I had a nice experience their prices are fair considering their facility very different from the average.

I did my very first discovery dive with Savedra more than 10 years ago. I'm coming back this time to do an advance open water qualification. They are super helpful for my all pre-trip planning including helping me with a hotel, car transfer, and all the qualification requirements.

The place is very clean, tidy and meticulous. Their equipments are properly stored. My dive instructor Yohann is very professional and attentive. He has shared a lot of his knowledge and gave me great comfort that everything is safe under the water.

The team are very friendly and cheerful. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great diving experience in Moalboal.

Had 4 fantastic dives with lion dive centre. The master divers are really nice and professional, equipment and boat are very good and service is unbelievably good, I was late for one of the dives due to delay with other acitivity, they arranged 2 new dives for me the same afternoon, Romil the other divemaster was called and showed up within 15 minutes on his day off (I felt so bad). Then when my pictures by accident got deleted I got free dive and service to Cebu. AMAZING. The boss is so nice and helpful, if I go back to moalboal this is the diveshop I would go to for all my dives!! <3

In over 25 years of diving, this is the best run dive shop I have dove with. The trips ran on time, the DMs were knowledgeable and helpful, the dive sites close to the shop and world class.

Divers were generally grouped by experience level so everyone could have an enjoyable time with divers of simular experience and interests.

I never took a class but did overhear several instructors with students. They all were professional and knowledgeable and took the extra effort to make sure the students were comfortable with the lesson.

No matter what your experience level, from absolute beginner to master diver, I recommend Cebu Dive Centre.

And they have the coolest logo too. Lol.

Super recommend this place. The staff was very nice and Andreas best instructor I could have, really professional and friendly.
I did open water course with him in 2-3 days, all the time you can feel safe and was super easy to learn from him.

I was thinking about trying freediving since August as my girlfriend was going to do her open water certification and I wanted to use the time to invest in myself by learning to freedive.

I researched and compared the different schools, AIDA, PADI/SSI, Molchanovs…etc.

In freediving forums they all said, the certification name didn’t matter, what was important was who you would train with.
    But how can you know?!

So I hope with this review to share how the values of Freediving Planet really help me have an incredible experience I will always cherish. I cannot imagine a better place to do freediving (yes, big claim!).

JP the founder, is incredibly passionate about the ocean and freediving. He is also constantly advocating about how important safety is. The sport is growing a lot, and this means more people are practicing freediving without awareness of the risks.

I started with 0 experience, could only hold my breath for 30-40 seconds (yes that bad). In the first day of pool sessions I could already reach the minimum required by Wave 1, which is 1.5 minutes!!! I was shocked but very happy and excited!

In my mind the breath hold was the hardest part. If I got that right I would achieve the certification.

That was naive of me, going to open water I hit a wall called equalisation and depth. First day, was tricky to go past 6 meters. I was frustrated, but JP was always patient and encouraging. His philosophy about freediving was lazy life, but I wanted to get the certification so I was agitating myself about it!

That’s the beauty of freediving the further you want to go, the further you have to let go and relax. Just like the greatest things in life cannot be forced!

Letting go was not easy, in on of my last sessions, I was struggling to go beyond 8 meters, and another girl easily went to 18 meters… Ufff.

JP was always the voice of relaxation, when I was comparing, or wanting to force my way towards the goal.

I took me 2 extra coaching sessions but I finally did it. Each time, relaxing more and enjoying myself more, each time less worried about getting the certification.

It was a very insightful and exciting journey.

Our witnesses were turtles, thousands of sardines, plankton and friendly fish.

I can’t wait to dive again! I can’t wait to continue on this journey… more relaxation, more letting go, deeper and longer sessions in the beautiful blue!

If you are curious about freediving go Freediving Planet! You won’t regret it!

Stellar dive shop. Everyone I dove with had tonnes of experience. They're passionate about diving and they love sharing it with their guests. They have a separate rack if you want to hang your own gear up. The wash tanks are really tiny and it's a busy shop. Booking dives was a little confusing and chaotic figuring out who was diving where and with who but it all worked out in the end. I learned some new things and had a great time diving with Amigos. Highly recommend 👌

Back in December 2014 (tripadvisor didnt allow me to select an earlier date than 2016), I came to do a one day intro AIDA1 with Carlo to get a basic knowledge of freediving for my mermaid photo shoot in Oslob with Whalesharks, I made it comfortably to 12m depth, and that was when i decided it's a sport i could continue to train and explore

Thank you Wolfgang and Gadie for the detailed and frequent replies to my many many questions via email prior to my trip coming over, so helpful, patient and professional, as at that time is was also my first time to Cebu at that time

My son and I were there Jan 1 - 4th. The hotel was beautiful, off the beaten path and just a complete paradise! The owners and staff were warm and welcoming. The room we booked was huge and had an ocean view!
The driver who drove us to Oslob to swim with the whale sharks was very friendly and attentive. He took us to this off road eatery stand and my son absolutely loved their fried fish!
    Moalboal you are enchanting!🙏🏽💕🌺

I completed my advanced open water with Klemens and had a private course! The instruction was professional, laid back and fun. The dive shop has great equipment and is much less busy and hectic than some of the other shops I checked out in Moalboal. Strongly recommend this shop!

Adam was an excellent dive instructor! I was very nervous to complete my open water certification but he put me at ease by remaining calm through the training and always reiterating the important safety information. When his usual dive boat was broken he quickly sourced another boat for our second day so we could continue to try out some boat dives as well as shore entry. We had a great few days with Adam!

I had a great time training for my Level 1 free diving certification with Andrew from Element. He was very responsive to all my questions leading up to the course and was very flexible with scheduling once I arrived. The course itself was surprisingly laid back which was fantastic and helped put me at ease, allowing me to perform beyond my expectations in the water. On top of that, Moalboal is a beautiful location to dive. All in all it was a great experience.

Our family of four had an amazing experience with RiRi. Everything went as planned from the airport pickup in Cebu to the Canyoneering, Sardines run, Whaleshark viewing, hikes to Kawasaki falls & trip to Sumilon island. RiRi made excellent restaurant recommendations & is an excellent swimmer & hiker. We have traveled to over 95 countries & found the personal service with RiRi to top our experience list.
