It's an awesome day trip! Take a boat from almost anywhere in Moalboal, sit back, relax and enjoy the 25 to 35 minute ride to Pescador Island. It's just a small little outcrop in the middle of the straight between Cebu and Negros. We don't usually go for the Island itself (there's nothing really on it and it is protected), but it is a favorite spot to hang out, snorkel, dive, and enjoy the beautiful coral reefs surrounding it. I spent my 49th birthday out there. We had three boats full of family and just partied!

The sardine run here is the real show-stopper, and I'd go back just for that. We also saw a fair number of turtles. The beach itself is nothing special and mostly stones rather than soft sand. This is a place for snorkelling and diving.

Over 3 hours private car ride from Cebu City, that includes road works along the way. Have to pay an entrance of 10 pesos per adult at HK resort - that excludes the cottage/shelter use. White sandy sea shore. Had to wear crocs when in the water, was rocky. Prepare an old 5 peso coin for when you use the toilet/shower - it costs 5 pesos per small bucket of water.

They are growing and adding options to the area. This place opens at 8 and closes at 8 so if you arrive late you have fewer options. It's a smaller place so some offerings tou see at other places are not available or not operating.

You can spot the location by all of the old bottles on the fence etc outside the museum. Friendly owner and close walk from the water.

Planet Action (at Tipolo resort) offers the most challenging canyning trip on Cebu. It even is not able to do it when there is too much water in the canyon. You have to hike for 2 hours to the top of the falls. Then you start to abseil through the falls. And you have to jump several times several meters into the water below the fall. It is a narrow high canyon and there should be sun when you do it.
There are numerous falls and jumps to do during your way down the canyon. At the end there is even a 10m jump to do (you can avoid it, if you are not brave).

Planet Action offers also a meal after the trip through the falls.
It is not cheap, but it is worth the money. You should have good shoes, because of the long slippery hike to the top of the falls.
Planet Action is the oldest company offering canyoning in Moalboal. All others did copy what they did explore first. The Tyson Falls is only offered by Planet Action.

i was expecting too much but when we arrived it was not a peak season for orchids. Got a little disappointed though but the green plants were so pleasing with the eyes.

  • We had a three night stay at "Moalboal Turtle Haven 1 @ La Concepcion Cove" hosted by Lorelie (along with Vladislav) at Moalboal on the island of Cebu, Philippines. We flew into Mactan–Cebu International Airport (CEB) and took a 3.5 hour taxi ride to Moalboal to witness the majestic waters, have a chance to swim alongside sea turtles, and take tours to nearby waterfalls, all while eating, drinking, and getting a massage in a vibrant small town. As Airbnb Superhosts ourselves, we want to share our feedback to ensure that future Airbnb guests will have a more comfortable stay. First and foremost, the hospitality by Lorelie (along with Vladislav) was impeccable from the arrival with mango juice, to providing a welcome booklet, to setting up tours or massage appointments, to preparing a generous breakfast (for a small fee), to allowing us to rent gear to properly snorkel or swim, and most importantly, to calling trusted drivers to pick you up to and from La Conception Cove. Second, the shoe-free, and clean, bedroom and private bathroom for our room is located upstairs on a steep stairway adjacent to other rooms sharing a common area with a fridge, filtered water, couch, and a balcony seating area overlooking the beach. Within the bedroom, there's an effective air conditioner, a flat sheet to place on top of the mattress protector, a flat sheet to cover ourselves during our sleep, body towels for the shower, toilet paper, and some furniture to organize and settle your items. Third, the bathroom is extremely cozy with the doorway, toilet, shower head, and sink being no more than 2 feet from each other. It is important to note that there's no hot water and it is best that you bring or purchase your own toiletries. Fourth, the internet was very helpful to communicate to Lorelie (along with Vladislav) when we had any issues, wanted to put an order for next day's breakfast, or request for a ride. Please note that the internet isn't the fastest and can drop from time to time depending on the weather and usage from other guests. Lastly, despite being 10 minute car ride from the center town of Moalboal, nothing will beat being steps away from a gorgeous, nearly empty beach adjacent to the shallow waters to swim or snorkel. If you're lucky enough, you can catch a glimpse of sea turtles and other fishes! Overall, if you want to stay at a relaxing and quiet place next to a beach with excellent hospitality while overcoming the cozy bathroom, I would recommend their place!

Good accommodation, diving at the front steps, easy to dive and clean up and dive again. It has everything a diver would need on a dive holiday

Dive guides are knowledgeable, experienced and with a keen eye. Special mention of Nato and Jonel. You could basically order what you wanted to see in the ocean through them and they will find it for you !

Oscar is a good and detailed instructor to take Padi courses from

Lovely folks from housekeeping to restaurnt

In over 25 years of diving, this is the best run dive shop I have dove with. The trips ran on time, the DMs were knowledgeable and helpful, the dive sites close to the shop and world class.

Divers were generally grouped by experience level so everyone could have an enjoyable time with divers of simular experience and interests.

I never took a class but did overhear several instructors with students. They all were professional and knowledgeable and took the extra effort to make sure the students were comfortable with the lesson.

No matter what your experience level, from absolute beginner to master diver, I recommend Cebu Dive Centre.

And they have the coolest logo too. Lol.

Had 4 fantastic dives with lion dive centre. The master divers are really nice and professional, equipment and boat are very good and service is unbelievably good, I was late for one of the dives due to delay with other acitivity, they arranged 2 new dives for me the same afternoon, Romil the other divemaster was called and showed up within 15 minutes on his day off (I felt so bad). Then when my pictures by accident got deleted I got free dive and service to Cebu. AMAZING. The boss is so nice and helpful, if I go back to moalboal this is the diveshop I would go to for all my dives!! <3

We did our Molchanovs Wave1 at Freediving Planet in Moalboal. We have learned so much and still had a very relaxing experience. Jean-Pol is an Amazing teacher and we felt very safe and in good hands all the time.
The Dive shop is only a few steps from the dive-site which is perfect and the provided equipment was great.
Make sure to check out the Sardine run in Moalboal after the course, with your new skills and confidence 🙂

Today myself and a group of friends went and done the Whale Shark and Kawasan Falls tour. The day overall was everything we except but more. Honesty this is a must do trip regardless whether you do it with Cyan or not. Our tour guide Jessie was friendly, supportive and reliable, our day was beyond excellent due to Jessie! The sights we saw were stunning and the tour was amazing as we did things differently compared to the other tourist. Definitely a must see plus a must see with Cyan tour company. Thank you Cyan

Master Beth instructed me, patiently but insistently, to be sure that I had practiced and mastered the skills in fun way.
