- Climber306432452711 contributionI completed my PADI Open Water certification under Instructor Ricky. I'm the easily stressed and anxious sort, but fortunately, Ricky was incredibly patient with me, and let me repeat the various skills as needed until I was confident. I was really fortunate to have him as my instructor as I felt safe throughout. The initial confined water training was in shallow seawater, rather than in a swimming pool. I eventually completed Open Water in 2 half days and 1 full day with the open water dives (3 days). At the end of my 4 day trip, I eventually did some of the Adventure dives with my Advance-certified friends at 20m.

This is my second trip to Malapascua and diving with the same dive shop and my son's first trip. Shout out to the great people working here and special mention to: RISSA who helped us with the information we needed before our travel and for being my son's nitrox course instructor (which he said was a good instructor). To our guide MARK, thank you for taking excellent care of us throughout our dives (and Rissa). We had a great night dive with with Mark and Marvin at Evo. Thanks to LEON for helping us feel welcome again. We had a most enjoyable trip! Best dives ever, even better than Egypt coral reef! No talking about the sharks!!just amazing. When you go ask for Amaya as istractor or guide. She is the top-notch! - Oli M1 contributionThe best thing we've done in Asia so far! We saw so many sharks, and the whole diving days were amazing from start to finish. Incredible value, great food, and the best instructors. Ludi and Tong were both fantastic, and my wife was able to get her certification thanks to mr. Everyone is very helpful and you recognize that they care. Also safety is not just a word for them, they mean it. They have oxygen just in case. Most equipment was new and they maintain it. They offer best brand rental equipment.
The boat (bangka) is big and very convenient and they also have a nice speedboat with a roof. It feels like home or good friends when you stay there! They care, they are funny and the dives are awesome! On the boat, in the water and underwater
and beside diving they are a great team. The DM are searching for the animals you want to see. The instructors know what they do and are very patient. They love their job. Thanks to our instructor, Koldo, who was experienced and professional, an also always focused on safety, so the course was a great experience for improving my dive skills.
Also thanks to all the crew who were so nice and helpful! The dives and day trips were amazing an unforgettable. Sun, blue sky and amazing dive spots with great coral walls. I'm more or less satisfied with the resort for the warm & hospitality of their staff. The room was pretty spacious for me since I'm travelling alone. Place is rather aged but it is kept clean by the staff. The AC was working fine but the water pressure for the shower was a tat bit low for my liking. Food wise was good & it certainly builts up the mood & ambience, being able to dine in front of the beach. I think the biggest issue with the place, which I thonk most guests would agree, is the WiFi which is only available @ the dinning area or bar. Was a little pissed with this @ the start, but after talking with other guests from other resorts or hotel in Malapascua during my dive trips, I realized that WiFi is a real luxury in the island & all of thrm experienced similar issue with thrir own accomodation. I guess that the basic network facilities in the whole island is very lacking, given that even the mobile network in the whole pretty poor as well. The materials are good and we felt safe diving with them. The rest of the crew were always present to land a hand each time needed. We did 5 dives with Little Mermaid and each dive was breathtaking. We can never thank the team enough for the amazing experience we had together and for contributing in making our trip awesome.
