- mike_otten@yahoo.com5 contributionsFavorite part of tour? Having not been to the Museum in 50 years (I was intown visiting family), I completely expected what I found: a beautiful, well maintained, exciting museum with representations of all art forms, styles, periods, and media. Once in and past the greeting counter, you walk through a darkened space, highlighting a magnificent painting by Kinhinde Wiley, the guy who did the beautiful post-presidency portraits of Obama and Michelle. Then on to the seemingly myriad rooms with Van Goghs, wonderful art glass sculptures, Rookwood Pottery wallscapes, and so much more - even the Miro and Steinberg murals saved from the soon-to-be demolished Terrace Hotel in downtown. Anyway, we spent half the day there and could easily returned the following day. Next time! GO, walk, and relax with the beauty the Museum houses.Written 31 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tromba61Oakwood (Montgomery County), OH701 contributionsMy wife and I enjoyed this excellent theater today for the first time. We enjoyed the great show, "The West Side." The writing, the actors, directors, lighting, sets––all terrific. The view of Cincy is amazing; parking was easy. We can't wait for the next show.Written 31 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- UsuallyNotGrumpyColumbus, Oh3,921 contributionsI drove down from Columbus to see Steve Hackett perform the entire Genesis “Seconds Out” albums and more live. It was an excellent show! I’ve waited over 50 years to hear “Supper’s Ready” performed live. No overwhelming light shows or theatrics but fantastic music! I liked it better than the Roger Waters show I saw later that year.
It’s an ornate old theater that’s been lovingly restored. Right downtown on the south east side. The Phelps hotel is right around the corner if you’re looking for a nice place to stay while in town. Seats are comfy and I don’t think there’s a bad view in the entire place.
Great music, great venue and a reasonably quick serving bar. I was truly a happy camper! Go! Enjoy!Written 12 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The players are always good with tons of energy. I say intimate because every seat is a good seat and you feel like each actor is looking right at you. Especially the master of ceremonies from Pippen. We saw Spamalot here on our first visit. Looking forward to next year.Written 22 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Laura A. HobsonCincinnati, OH29 contributionsIn its relatively new home, attendees can sit in the round only six rows away from the thrust stage. Patterned after The Globe Theater in England, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company has ramped up its productions not only with the building, but also continued excellence in production, acting, sets, costumes, design, lighting, fight scenes, sound, playbill and overall themes.Written 11 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LiketoeatCincinnatiCincinnati, OH2,416 contributionsThis is a small theater but with high production value. The setting is intimate and the performers do a wonderful job. It did get a bit warm starting during the middle of each act. I know that they were running the AC beforehand but turned it off during the performance.Written 19 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
