What a treat was in store, friendly staff at fabulously ornate theatre with soft tiers that provided excellent views of the theatre and full experience of the stage even in the second dress circle.
We enjoy sitting in the loge for the best view and largest, most comfortable seats (worth the extra ticket $ for my very tall husband).

For the best view, it is recommended to go up on the street portion that overlooks the river base and you see the sun setting, with the beautiful skyline and capitol building and the lighting of the fires.

This is a beautiful and historical cemetery that offers beautiful waterfront views as well, there are many nooks and crannies to discover, amazing sculptured stones and lovely walkways.
There is a lovely area which opens out to the estuary and a walking trail along the water where one can view a variety of birds- it seemed to be a popular area for birders and photographers.

Take a walk a bit further and visit the Roger Williams National Historic site down the block.

The NPS Ranger was more than able to explain the history and significance of this wonderful site.The history of religious liberty was born here in 1663 and the significance cannot be overstated.
It is a hard walk because of a very steep hill up to prospect park, but the view from there is amazing.

We visited the Swan Pt. cemetery to visit the grave-site and ended up strolling around for several hours.
I do not support HPL's views, but do respect the level of contribution he has given in his work to the genre and modern day writers.
