The temple was covered in scaffolding but visitors could still see how magnificent this building is. We were told construction would last a few more years.

The grounds around the tabernacle and temple are gorgeous!! Such immaculate gardens and flowers. Do enjoy.

Just a superb museum with rich detail and many, many fossils. Certainly a place to add to any visit, especially if you have kids.

I brought my son to hear the organ being played. It is beautiful. Not crowded when we went at noon on a cold Saturday in January.

I was staying at the nearby Marriott and one of the clerks referenced that there was an outdoor mall nearby. I had time to kill so I went to explore. Actually, it's outdoor and indoor with some nice high-end stores like Tiffany and Nordstrom. I didn't buy anything (other than lunch at the food court) but I got my steps in and window shopped a little. Nice place to shop for those who can afford it.

This was one of the most welcoming capitol building that I've been to in the United States. It invites the community in and has a range of historic exhibits, arts, and exhibitions that share different parts of Utah. You can roam the halls and take in the glory of the architecture. The security welcomes you in for a visit. Go for at least a few hours your first time.

We loved the Utah movies, some of the exhibits about indigenous peoples within Utah, some focus on Mormonism, and the different areas that shared how the capital was built with all Utah-based materials and firms.

Great views inside and outside the Capitol. We were delighted to see that it was picture taking time for prom night and all the high school students in their best dress.

There are probably some places where the history could be bolstered to tell more about the tensions that relate

Great place to explore space and science. There were a lot of hands on options for kids to explore different aspects of the exhibits.

Yes, this cathedral is a spectacular catholic worship space that welcomes all to experience the art, beauty, and love of God. I was traveling to Salt Lake City and found this beautiful place. I went specifically for confession as they have it every day and upon walking in there was adoration at the altar, which was extra special. The Cathedral combines a predominately Romanesque exterior with a Gothic interior with so many murals, sculptures, and reliefs that any art lover would be stopped in his or her tracks combing the entire interior. As much a museum as a pious worship space, this cathedral cannot be missed on your next trip to Salt Lake City.

Great for photography and architecture lovers. Park in garage. First 3o min free
Lots to see and experience. Dog friendly

There are alot of homeless people in the salt lake downtown area. And there are lots inside the library.

They allowed me and the fur baby to come in and we took a ton of photos

Do not know what professional photography rules are but I will say this would be an amazing space to photograph a variety of clients

Located across from historical court house. Exterior offers a garden by looks like they are conserving water in a lot of these public building due to the droughts

Staff was amazing. Friendly and helpful

Small stores along side but most were closed

A variety of classes and workshops are hosted looked like daily !!!

Incredible building. Take a free tour offered. We saw the conference center auditorium which holds 21,000 people with its own organ. We were lucky to get to the roof for a view over temple square and the construction of the temple. Definitely worth a visit.

If you are in Salt Lake City, you have to come and see all of the Land Cruisers! The collection ranges from the very early models through early 2000s. Highly recommend this stop

I am not a part of the LDS school, but I figured that “When in Rome” learn something new... so I visited the Church History Museum...a history of the Mormon church.
The workers there were very nice and I never felt preached to while I was there ( I had some concern about this as I was deciding to go).

I was there about 2 hours and watched the short film, viewed and read all of the history exhibits on the ground floor, browsed quickly there the art exhibit on the 3rd floor, and did a 6 minute power museum walk on the bottom floor which was about pioneering Mormons (this area is pretty small).

The museum was very interesting. I learned a lot. I did not expect to really enjoy the museum, but I did!

The one thing I didn’t particularly care for was the short film. It was a really short video of Joseph Smith going for a walk in the woods and being spoken to by a presense. The screen is almost like a 360 degree screen (maybe more like 200 degree screen) and gave me some slight dizziness from the movement. But at least it was short so I could handle.

Little Tip For those with an National Park System Cancellation Passport:
This museum is a part of the Mormon Pioneer Trail system and they have a cancellation stamp. It is NOT visibile and out. You need to ask someone at the Information Desk for it as it is in a drawer. Apparently people ask about it very infrequently (I only knew because I looked it up ahead of time).

This is a great venue. While it isn’t brand new, they do a fantastic job of keeping it clean and modern. The staff is very friendly, and easily found.

This game we watched from the sky box seats, the highest point in the arena. A very different experience. Not the best viewing of the live action, but plenty of televisions to see the close-ups. Lots of room to move around and visit with a large group.

Highly recommend Vivint Smart home Arena!

The building was built as the Hotel Utah, now it is an office builfing.
The hotel opulence is still visible in the lobby and public area furnishings.
The Navoo cafe is on the ground floor and popular with locals and tourisys.
Great place to get a soda after walking around Temple Square and local shipping areas.

The Leonardo has rotating exhibits, and we specifically came to it for the flight one that is currently on. It was really cool to learn more about hot air balloons, flight in Utah, Black contributions to the field, and aerodynamics. We skipped the simulators because they were more like a video game than an actual simulation (we've done some at other museums back east that were more like a real plane). For a small museum, this exhibit was very well done. We also enjoyed the exhibit on endangered species art. The AI exhibit was interesting and had a lot of interactive activities. The Black achievements section was interesting but would have been better if it actually had some art, music, regalia, etc. to show rather than pictures from another museum's curation. Some of the other exhibits were closed for whatever reason. I really like how each exhibit clearly aligned with the interests of Leonardo DiVinci, and they have things you can read about such. It took us about 2 hours to get through everything.
