Three of us went on tour and we were only ones. Bill was very nice and informative. It was about 30 minutes which was a good length.

We really enjoyed visiting the Assembly Hall especially as the main temple is covered in scaffolding and only a very small part of it is open. Some friendly staff explained a bit more about the Assembly Hall.

Just had supper here w/my Wife & son. FABULOUSITY! Great drinks from Shelly & Ted @ the bar. Our server, Chuck is 1 of the BEST examples of a true professional. Kurt, kitchen manager, put out some amazing dishes. Good to see The Boss (Rich Huie) running a well oiled restaurant machine, even after 30+ years! You got a special occasion, put this underground restaurant on your Food Bucket List! ENJOY & treat yourself...

A four square building with a small bell tower.lI was drawn to this building as it reminded me of the custom house in Kings Lynn, England.
It was the city council building but now houses a rather smalll and crode informatio offic.
    There are also toilets.

We went to the historical park - Benson Grist Mill. Its in Tooele. The mill has an interesting history to hear about. The mill was started in 1854 when Mormon Church Leader Brigham Young requested that LDS apostle Eza Taft Benson build a gristmill to support the pioneer settlements in the area.

At the site there are also other historical buildings such as a blacksmith shop, pioneer cabin, barn, store, picnic area, and more. They also have farm equipment and wagons,

Its an interesting place to go. There are special events also held there during the year such as Living Grist Mill Days and Harvest Days.

I had never been to this ranch and I was glad we went! It gives a wonderful glimpse into life on the ranch many years ago. What stood out was the simplicity of life in the house - not the piles of toys and belongings people seem to need these days - just simple items for a busy ranch life.

I appreciate whoever keeps up the big barn, the house and the other structures. It was nice to look in on so many areas of life. The yard and forest beyond were cool and inviting to walk through. Definitely worth spending time at this ranch.

This is a hidden gem stuck between 2 large buildings. But this positioning shows the past and present of SLC in one view. If you like Western history stop to see this cabin.

Everyone knows about Brigham Young's famous arrival into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. But far fewer people know about the first party of 109 settlers that arrived two days earlier, on July 22. This tiny, .75 acre city park is a quaintly pretty monument to those settlers, and marks the actual spot (as near as anyone can tell) where they set up this first camp. The landscaping of bounders, cobblestone paths, and native plants is meant to emulate the geography of the Salt Lake Valley. The stones are engraved with the names of the settlers, and there is a monument that tells the story of their arrival. If you're a history buff, this is a unique and relatively unknown spot, and also a nice place to just sit and enjoy a sunny day.

A working bank, but staff is friendly and happy to show off the 2 old vaults in basement. Good to see a corporation that respects and preserves its history.
