This was one of the most welcoming capitol building that I've been to in the United States. It invites the community in and has a range of historic exhibits, arts, and exhibitions that share different parts of Utah. You can roam the halls and take in the glory of the architecture. The security welcomes you in for a visit. Go for at least a few hours your first time.

We loved the Utah movies, some of the exhibits about indigenous peoples within Utah, some focus on Mormonism, and the different areas that shared how the capital was built with all Utah-based materials and firms.

Great views inside and outside the Capitol. We were delighted to see that it was picture taking time for prom night and all the high school students in their best dress.

There are probably some places where the history could be bolstered to tell more about the tensions that relate

Adjacent to Washington Square/Pioneer Campgrounds is this most attractive government building constructed in Romanesque style, dates back to the late 1800’s. It is open to the public during regular business hours. Take a look around the ornate interior. Both the building and adjacent square are worth this short walk from the heart of downtown Salt Lake City.

One would hope that the interior is as magnificent as the exterior. Located just blocks south and a little east of the state capitol, the governor could walk to work......but I'll lay a bet that he doesn't.

Very unusual architecture in an area of very impressive homes. Would love to get a tour of the interior.

A four square building with a small bell tower.lI was drawn to this building as it reminded me of the custom house in Kings Lynn, England.
It was the city council building but now houses a rather smalll and crode informatio offic.
    There are also toilets.
