What travelers are saying
- Debbie PGlen Waverley, Australia332 contributionsWow this is an amazing grocery store. There is so much choice of foods. Absolutely loved the salad bar and hot food bar where you fill a container and the cost is $9.99 per pound.
The pies were lovely. The ready prepared meals were lovely - we tried the baked potatoes which had toppings for just $4. Sausage lasagna and pasta with meat balls.
The pizzas looked great but we didn’t get to try.
Such a lovely place to shop.
Staff very friendly.Written September 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were disappointed had expected more. Thankfully it wasn’t too far from where we were staying. A plus was free parking for duration of time there. Nice original architecture on the building which adds character The highlight was our booked climb to the top of the water tower. Our guide Rich was great and so informative thanks Rich. The climb up was worth it to see the views of the city and surrounding area.Written April 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - misanthropicdreamerSan Francisco, CA627 contributionsAhh the old fashioned kind of neighborhood bookstore which barely exists anymore. It is in an older house with books crammed into various rooms. The staff is friendly. It is super popular with the locals. We walked out with two fun books each. I highly recommend this to anyone stopping by the area.Written September 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christopher C1 contributionI fly for a living, and had a nice long 29 hour layover here in slc which is also my first visit, so had plenty of time to walk around and find something local to taste and bring home. Even found a couple of birthday presents. Seth was friendly during checkout too. Had a honey sucker as I walked around and eventually back to my room. Tasty!Written March 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Patti TToledo, OH42 contributionsTheir outlet store has not been open to the public since the pandemic. It will not be reopening. - Laurel H1 contributionMy son was visiting from out of state and wanted to get some souvenirs from his trip to take back home. We found this place through Google. Nice little shop in a cool old building, with lots of choices of all types of souvenir items. The associate JR was very friendly and helpful in finding items. Overall, great experience! 👍Written March 17, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HRSHYLVRLehi, UT701 contributionsMy son had to write a paper for his high school Art class about his visit to an art gallery. When I looked them up online, this one looked the most interesting - like it would grab his attention. "Fire and Light" was the featured exhibit, two local artists who work with glass and metal.
The gallery was small and easy to get around. There was a local jewelry artist at the desk who greeted us and showed us around. She asked my son about what kind of art he is doing in his class, and what was his favorite display at the gallery. Very nice woman.
If you would like to see some local art in a quaint little building that is not fancy, this is the place. I would recommend going.Written October 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I don’t think I could’ve navigated this store without her. Giving it a 5 bc of my customer service experience. Standing alone I would give this a 3 or less than. I love books. Coming from powelles and a lot of PNW LARGE BOOK stores having Gia was the only way I could get through this place. I hope you get her on your next visit! If not I wish you the best 👍Written July 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Natalie PSwisher, IA149 contributionsLoved this bookstore but then again love all bookstores. This is not a chain, lots of used books. Some new. Found what I was looking for (Greek Islands travel guides). Could have spent all day in this place. Prices were a bit high ($5 per used paperback for the travel guides).Written May 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - L762Fayetteville, Georgia, United States36 contributionsWe always rent here and are never disappointed. If you book online you can save 25%. We only skied 3 days on our 4 day trp. They held our equipment for a day and only charged the 3 days. Always friendly and helpful. A great outfit to deal with. They have several locations. They also sell discount lift tickets for most ski areas.Written April 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
