I'm proud to be Kalinga 💜 This is one of the most beautiful and best view that Kalinga people can be proud of. I've been here, for only 1 day because we passed this road and suddenly we stop to see the beauty of it. It is very amazing to take pictures in here, most especially when you are a photographer you can take many best sceniries that worth to keep. It is more interesting to stay in the top of the jeepney to see the real beauty of it. It is worth to stay here if usually you planned to travel. Even though we just passed in this, I can say that it is satisfying to view the beauty of it.♥️
I'll promise to be back there, soon. ✊

The best hot water bath with a scenic waterfall in the background. It is an hour hike below the village of Tulgao and straight up the mountain from Tinglayan. We took Roger and his dad Victor as our guide up to Tulgao. The village is nice but the views are exceptional. You look right at the Sleeping Beauty Mountain Range. The hot water bath has a grea waterfall right behind it. The trail there is a little rough but it is not that bad for good hikers. My pictures were the best I got from my trip around the Philippines. The guides are easy to get out of Tinglayan where they live. Just ask around and you can find them. If only I could show you my pictures but there is no way to put them up here so go and see for yourself, It is what makes the Philippines such a great place to visit.

Visited Balbalan unplanned last November 2019 and I came from Tuguegarao that day when I decided to go. Honestly, I only checked google maps where to go and where it seems strangely interesting. From Tuguegarao, I rode a van going to Tabuk for 1HR, then Tabuk to Balbalan via jeep for 3.5HRS (but waited for 2HRS before we're finally off). It was indeed a very strange experience for me since everyone is asking why am I going there, where would I stay and whether I know someone from there. It gives me chills but at the same time feeling some excitement. There's no hotels available on the internet but still decided to go.

The view going there is unreal, it is surrounded by mountains with a river, waterfalls & rice terraces view. When I was finally there, it was awesome, it was cold, took some videos/photos and luckily found a hotel (the only hotel in town). While signing up at the police station, I noticed that the last visitors were August that year and they came from Taiwan (so strange). The police officers were telling me not to go alone and that they can accompany me. I stayed in a 3 storey building alone for one night and it was like a horror scene for me. Upon waking up the next day, the sweet sunrise was so amazing paired with sea of clouds; moments that make life worth living & my happiness, indeed.

Balbalan definitely answered my hunger for nature & adventure.

Thrilling.. Long way hiking before reaching the place. Suited for travelers who are not looking for luxury but just out of the world adventure. Backpack of clothes, water, light foods, flashlight are just perfect for this spot.

Living in the mountains most of our lives, we are used to being surrounded by corn or rice fields and grew fond of delicacies made out of. As I aged, continuously wanting to learn more of our culture, my interests were changing gradually, later finding out that here in the northern provinces of the Philippines, we are also producing wines.

Ryan & Son's Winery is definitely one chill place where you could enjoy with your friends, family, or even solo. My parents are fond of plants & animals, and one of the owners, Mrs. Ryan, is very much accommodating, patiently discussing the details that would peak their guests' interests, leading to us buying a combination.

Going back to the wines, the missus introduced us to their wine products. I, personally, am not a wine type gal, but I could attest that basing from how I have tasted selections of wines before, this one is kinda good. We didn't taste everything, just the sweet (not dry) one.

If G**gle maps or any navigation apps would confuse you of the directions when you're new to the area, just ask the locals around. It's easily accessible, less muddy parts of the road.

PS. I suggest you use an SUV type with big [wheel] rims.
PPS. We met another cutiepaw [pun intended] who was very malambing. 🐾
