First time in a long time that I left disappointed. They have a lot of construction going on that really disrupts the flow for guests. Several species are no longer at the zoo due to expansion. Sun Bear, Polar Bear, & Amur Leopard are most notable. Asian exhibit is nice, but there’s a lot of empty landscaped areas. In the past I considered this the best zoo in the country along with St Louis. Will have to go back after construction to see if it is still up there.

This is a great part of town. The old buildings have been preserved and now hold shops, restaurants, and taverns. Beware of the parking police waiting for meters to expire. There are however, parking lots that allow parking for a full day for a very, very low cost.

I chose to spend the morning here because I wanted to see the preservation of union station. It did not disappoint. The building is in perfcet condition and you can't help but feel you have traveled back in time. The neon lights are all functioning, the soda fountain is working, and the wooden benches look beautiful. I could not help but think of all of the people who once walked this hall. The statues set up around the station have recordings of stories told by travelers through union station. I also enjoyed the short fild on the history of Omaha.

Nice for a short stroll and great view up and down the river. Part of a longer trail if you want a longer walk or bike ride.

The Botanical Gardens are just beautiful. Nice walkways that allow for a pleasant stroll through beautiful gardens. The flowers are stunning but also a good place for bird watching! Look for a large model train layout that features 4 different trains.

This art museum had a beautiful and extensive collection. We highly recommend a visit and a couple hours there.

We brought our four kids, whose ages range from 4 to 16, for a couple hours while we were in Omaha. The two younger ones had a blast; the older two were bored stiff. As a result, we cut our time there short. I should have paid closer attention to the age recommendations on the website (2 to 8 years).

We attended the entire 2021 College World Series as my husband's nephew was pitching. A beautiful ball park and the food was very good and prices very reasonable.

We were there with our son, who is also a baseball college pitcher and we all had a great time and our first in Omaha!

Will review the restaurants we ate at near the stadium as we're a bit of "foodies" :-) of a number of them were excellent!

Nice walk along the riverfront. Pretty views and fairly easy walk. Only issue we had was there is a fair amount of construction going on around the area. We parked at the old market and walked. I wouldn’t advise this if it’s dark or going to be dark soon. The area we had to pass through was a tad sketchy.

The museum and gift shop was lovely, and the lady working it was very genuine and kind. Unfortunately the cathedral had a wake happening when I visited so I didn’t go past the first set of pews.

Nice park for a quick walk. They have the two old trains at the top of the hill with a nice overlook. Worth seeing.

I was driving by when I saw these fabulous works of art! I immediately pulled over, parked and began taking photographs. I could not believe how life-like each sculpture was, from the wagons, to the pioneers, to the bison. Put this on your list. It must be seen in person...Just beautiful work.

Joslyn Castle is a beautiful building! We really enjoyed our tour. Because it was an OPD admin building for years, there is a lot of restoration to be done on the property but it’s amazing what they have accomplished so far to bring authentic history back to the home. Our tour guide, Viktoria, was very knowledgeable about the design of the home and shared many stories about the Joslyn family. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Saw Tool here and the experience was pleasant. Seats were comfortable. Parking was close and wasn't an issue. Security was pretty fast to get through. Sound was great. Even had a cool confetti machine. Great place for a show.

More than a man made lake in the suburbs, Lake Zorinsky has much to offer. I have seen amazing sunsets over the lake night after night; walked miles of trails; played baseball with m my boys at the diamonds when they were young; pushed swings at the multiple the playgrownds and flown kites in the soccer fields, seen wildlife in its natural habitat including wild turkeys, hawk, owls, deer (including a herd of about 50 deer running gracefully only a hundred yards from me); taken hidden paths; celebrated a birthday party in a shelter; watched fireworks throughout the area from above the dam; and appreciated that manmade lakes are not necessarily for mere pleasure, but also protection and prevention of flooding in a state with thousands of miles of waterways.
