The food was all very good with nice variety and perfect portions. But what made the experience great was Susan’s knowledge of the history of the food and of the city.

The tour was incredible! I have never done a food & drink tour before. This tour exceeded my expectations. My friend & I joined the tour of 12, all became fast friends and Dr. Gumbo made us all feel welcome. The portion sizes were impressive, the drinks were spot on! Dr. Gumbo's knowledge of the food, drinks, culture & history of New Orleans was impressive. I highly recommend this tour!

I truly loved this tour. I learned a whole lot about New Orleans and its culture from Denise -- a very good and knowledgeable story teller! The food was simply incredible as well.

Fun, Fun, and more Fun…. Mixed with a lot of humor and delicious food! We did the Seattle Underground doughnut tour many years ago and THIS one was even better!( sorry Seattle). Glad to see this company do so well and continue to impress. Lovely day spent in The Garden District! See y’all in New York next year!

Our tour guide was Kaffey. We did a private tour. We had a great time. The food was great! Kaffey did an amazing job giving us some history and tasting the local favorites! I would highly recommend! We were full at the end!

If you do just one thing in New Orleans take this incredible tour with Naiff (and Gatson the alligator!) What an amazing afternoon we had tasting the most delicious food, learning about the origins of the dishes, a history lesson about NOLA and such interesting stories about Naiff’s life. I didn’t want the day to end! I could have listened to Naiff all day, wonderful story teller transporting you back to his childhood growing up by the Mississippi. The restaurants we visited were hand picked by him and his wife Sandy, every one was fabulous. Not the usual pre-pared mass produced meals you normally get on tours. We were struggling to fit the delicious food in by the fourth restaurant and took the yummy pralines home to eat when we finished at number five - Aunt Sally’s! They were so nice we went back to try different flavours before buying a few boxes for presents and for ourselves. We went back to two of the restaurants for meals during our stay and would have returned to all of them had we been there longer. I’m never going to cook again without thinking of the holy trinity. Thank you so much Naiff and Sandy for a wonderful afternoon, haven’t stopped telling everyone about it!

Great to see and try some brilliant local food spots outside of the densely touristed areas. Our guide Kaffey was friendly, knowledgeable and had an abundance of recommendations suited to our preferences. Highly recommend and doing it early in your visit so you can try all the amazing places suggested!

I loved this tour!!! I have been to New Orleans no less than a dozen times and this is my first time on this tour. I took my 17 year old daughter and we both throughly enjoyed it. Donald was our tour guide, a NOLA local, and he was fantastic. He’s is a great orator and he told us fascinating history of the food culture here. He also gave us recommendations of restaurants based on items we wanted to try/eat. I already went to one of the places he told us about and he was 100% right- so delicious!!
The samples of the food at the 3 restaurants and sweet shop were very good and actually pretty filling. I would highly, highly recommend this tour! We had a wonderful time!

Dominick was a fantastic tour guide- a true Southern gentleman so proud and knowledgeable about NOLA. Having never taken a private dining tour, I was unsure what to expect. Dominick selected two restaurants(Tableau and The Napolean House) and advised us to selections. All his food recommendations were first-rate, and he even encouraged me ( not typically brave when trying new things) to get out of my comfort zone! I found myself eating seafood, which I always shy away from, and alligator! I cannot speak highly enough of this experience and only wish it had been my first tour instead of one of the last so I could have asked for other restaurant recommendations. Dominick shares his love of NOLA with you and you find yourself just wanting to walk the city with him to hear his stories. I 100% recommend it- you will not be disappointed!

The guide, Donald, was outstanding. Clearly knew his city and his food, both as a cook and someone someone who eats it. Great historical info as well. I wish there had been a bit more walking and maybe another stop.
