What travelers are saying
- Victor M1 contributionI can confidently say that visiting here was one of the best things I’ve done in Arkansas. It felt like I instantly stepped in a whole new world. I love this place.Written February 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- hayward123Kansas City, KS113 contributionsI was in Hot Springs for a Girls Weekend. One of our stops on our itinerary was Dryden Pottery. We so enjoyed our visit!!!
Zack and his wonderful wife were so welcoming and informative. Zack took us back to his pottery wheel and showed us how he makes the pottery with homemade clay. He actually let one of us (the brave one) try forming pottery on his wheel. It was really interesting.
We also saw the kiln room and the pottery drying. It was fascinating.
My mom has enjoyed her Dryden coffee mugs for years (they are likely 40+ years old), and finally, I was able to see Dryden for myself.
We all took home a special piece that we can enjoy daily! Loved it!Written November 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Noel78Tennessee608 contributionsThere were excellent offerings at this small market in January. We bought sourdough bread, fire cider, mushrooms, herbal tea and eggs.
There were crafters with lovely knit and crocheted items and handsome cutting boards.
We enjoyed our stop even though we’re off season right now for a lot of fresh foods.Written January 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My husband and I kept finding items that brought back memories when we were kids and young adults. There are a lot of rooms to wander through! We felt there were a lot of interesting pieces to look at. Sometimes places are full of junk and not necessarily finds. We had so much fun, we even went back a second day!Written October 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tbspavinsHot Springs, AR36 contributionsWe have purchased several pieces from this gallery over the years. They do a great job of providing original works of art across a wide range of price points. Whether you're looking for a large statement piece or just a lovely piece for a small powder room, you'll find it here. The artists often attend the first Friday of the month Gallery Walk events.Written February 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Liz DBrooklyn, NY8 contributionsThis was the highlight of our visit. I had been to a glassblowing demonstration before and thought I knew what to expect, but The Riley brothers exceed all expectations. From the first warm greeting to the last farewell, it was a total emersion in art in general and, very specifically in glass. The demonstration itself was magical and so, so informative. And the glass, ah the glass. Even if you don't have time for a demonstration, go for the glass. It is pure one-of-a-kind art at extremely reasonable prices. Knowing that I was flying home I asked to have it shipped and it arrived speedily, impeccably packed. Honestly if you do one thing other than Bathhouse Row in Hot Springs, this should be it.Written February 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robin CSavannah, TN38 contributionsWe went here and really did not care for it. Lacking in number of shops. Very monotonous and boring to us.Written January 13, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- anniecat51Garland, TX106 contributionsThe first clue that Gene Spalding’s wood art is expensive is that you can see his work by appointment only. He lives in the woods on 300 acres and it wasn’t easy to find even with the MAPS app on my phone. However his work is exquisite. The wooden bowls are so thin you are afraid to touch them but he encourages you to touch the wood . The finishes on the wood are beautiful and inspired. Gene is knowledgeable and eager to share his knowledge of his wood working techniques. He is friendly and humble about his talent. Be warned though: A small bowl about 3-4 inches high and approximately 4 inches around is about $200 and it goes up from there. Not that his pieces arent worth the selling price. They are! I wish we could afford to buy one! His work can also be viewed at an art gallery in town but I can’t remember which one.Written September 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter w PHot Springs Village, AR2 contributionsIt has seen BETTER days, for a nearly 30 year old, indoor shopping center, it is still a reasonable to place shop. - Raylene B (Jennifer)Oklahoma327 contributionsThere are lots of interesting things here. It’s far to expensive for an average person like myself. We would definitely not want to take any children here, which is ok because no one under 13 is allowed here.
