The drawback was that there were a lot of other tours going on at the time so we were left behind several times by our guide which caused us to miss out on the history of the homes. Our tour guide did give everyone on the tour his number in case anyone got lost. This was perfect because there were some people who had to call. He also had a light that he held up as he walked to make sure we could see him. The stop to the Brooklyn Bridge was beautiful! The tour began with a warm and cozy tour bus on a cold and rainy evening. The tour guide, introduced himself and led us through a decent introduction. If you can get past the word "um" every two words, you'll be okay.
He explained to us the stops we would be making and we got a great laugh when he described them as the "appetizer," "main course," and dessert.
The tour itself was incredible. The houses were breathtaking and despite the cold, rainy night, we enjoyed our tour. With that being said, it was not guided.
Here's my biggest complaint. On the last stop, we got out and had an opportunity for a picture with the Brooklyn Bridge and NYC Skyline. Most of our group stayed on the bus due to the weather, but my husband and I chose to brave it. As our tour guide skipped around (literally), we asked if he could take a picture of us. He promptly said, "No." We stood there kind of shocked, until he finally said, "Ask someone else in the tour." This was a huge letdown.

- Rajner3 contributionsWe went as a family. The length of the tour was perfect. It is about 3 hours, including the time spent at the food stops. The tour is a nice mix of walking, learning and food. We think that walking is a great way to experience Brooklyn first hand. Our tour guide, Mickey, was very friendly, knowledgeable and flexible and organized the food ordering, including some special requests, at all the stops. We like Brooklyn but still learned new facts and visited new food places. - Eric D7 contributionsLoved the tour and our tour guide Steve was great. If you’re visiting NYC for the Xmas decor this is a great way to end the trip. Also nice to get out of the city for a few hours, walking around the neighborhoods with some hot cocoa. The stop in DUMBO is also a nice photo opp, very romantic.
