- TraveltheWorldRockville, MD76 contributionsGo to reviews for the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, the current name of what was called the Arkansas Arts Center, which is in a beautiful new building.Written November 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tawnee McCayRiverton, UT8 contributionsBeautiful park and views. My girls had fun playing. The sculptures were beautiful! There was a concert across the river so we got to enjoy it to music. :)Written August 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - beth ann kHalstead, KS1,793 contributionsThe library is more than just a library and has art, books and even food items. We went as part of the ArtWalk, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.Written June 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ellen SauerFort Wayne, IN32 contributionsI stumbled upon this gem when looking for something else nearby on the Google map. So grateful I did. Simply beautiful fine art - originals and prints - as well as an extensive offering of books. The gallery itself has just a lovely flow and ambiance and the curators friendly. Wish I lived closer so I could attend their events and offerings.Written November 2, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Evelyn OEl Paso, TX94 contributionsSpent a week in Little Rock just a few blocks from the market place. Never saw any street vendors but there were several different little shops in the area promoting different things.
There were several cafe's and bistros, bars, clothing stores, and misc other things. It is a very nice place to walk in the evening especially the path along the river. Most of the area charges for parking before 6pm but after 6 the parking is free.
There are over 100 sculptures displayed throughout the path worth the walk. You have to go behind what everyone is calling the market area and make your way toward the river then follow the path to the left and you will found the sculptures.
If you follow the path to the right you will eventually come upon a wetland area that is very beautiful. While we were there there were three families of Canadian geese with their babies. Lots of turtles in the water popping their heads up. They also have a very large bat house structure. There are signs along the way telling about wetlands, it's importance and ecology.
Did not notice any restrooms unless you go to one of the cafe's. There are benches and rocks to sit on along the way.
This place is dog friendly but please clean up after your friend. There are waste bag receptacles to the right side toward the Clinton place.Written May 11, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
