The most amazing Park that we have ever visited. What an experience, from the immaculate gardens and landscape to the impressive cleanliness and facilities available to either walk, run or cycle. The most spectacular sites to see in the park with the most amazing views and photo opportunities.

This and the whole area is an awesome tribute to the people who lost their lives in an awful event. You will easily spend 2 or 3 hours here. They cover the event and the stories of various people from various perspectives in an interesting and informative way. It was very sensitively done. It was a sobering experience and I found it quite emotional at times. Highly recommended.

I came because of the Bank of America Museums on us program. This is a GREAT museum that you could spend a few hours or a whole day in. On a side note, there was great live music in the snack bar.

This is a must see in NYC for me. This is an oasis in the busy city and gives a wonderful respite. We walked the whole length but there are plenty of places to get off and on.

Absolutely amazing! The talent is unbelievable, and the storytelling is genius! The band, the dancers, and the actor playing Michael were just incredible. This show is amazing.

We booked the top of the rock for 7.00 on a Monday evening. Queuing to get in was simple and efficient. No problems going up to the lower viewing platform. There's a cafe to buy food and drink if you want. No problems going up to the top viewing platform. It was fairly busy, but you could get to the edge and take in the view, with a bit of patience. Top of the Rock gives great views of the empire state, central Park and the south of Manhattan island. Highly recommended. There are plenty of places to get something to eat in the Rockerfeller centre.

My wife and I were making our first visit to New York City during our wedding anniversary trip this past summer. Of course we had to go see the Statue of Liberty. It was interesting riding out in the boat and seeing it from different angles. Then arriving at the visitor center and walking over to the Statue itself, was a wonderful experience. It was a highlight that I will always remember. The Statue of Liberty is spectacular.

I read David McCullough’s 563 page book on the building of the bridge so I had a bunch of fun facts to share.
We walked over on the Manhattan bridge (less crowded and louder with trains) enjoyed DUMBO and walked back over to Manhattan on the Brooklyn Bridge.
It was such a lovely walk with all the people from around the world and the skyline in front and the amazing engineering all around. And it’s free!

The new AWESOME LIRR in Grand Central Station (GCS) in NYC!!!
On the west/Vanderbilt St side of GCS, take the escalator below the Main Concourse to the Madison Concourse.
Go through blue-green doors and turn right.
The concourse is newly built, spacious, CLEAN, no stinky smell, with three NYPD posts & several cops, CLEAN restrooms with paper pads for toilets seats, shops, food, drinks.
The LIRR Ticketing and Customer Service is at this level (3rd down from the Main Concourse).
Take the deep escalator (seems to be 6-7 floors high) down (one each at 45th, 46th, 47th Sts).
There are elevators between the 46th & 47th exits.
Look for your track on the monitor which is accessible through another escalator down or up.
Once in the platform for track 302, the first car is the tail of the train. I describe this so those with motion sickness could choose a seat facing the front.
There is internet connectivity four levels beneath street level.

Let’s hope LIRR and us, rail riders, maintain this wonder in NYC, especially the restrooms!

The best views we found were from Ellis island or Brooklyn, just south of the bridge. Get the ferry from Manhattan to Brooklyn and walk back via the bridge.

You gotta go and just walk around. I thought Chicago was big until I saw NYC and Times Square. First off, my family and I felt totally safe. From a 9 story Macy's to every food you can imagine, Times Square has it all. Definitely worth a morning or afternoon worth of exploration.

My wife and I walked over to Rockefeller Center from our hotel during our anniversary trip to NYC this past summer. We didn’t take the time to do a tour. We just walked around the plaza area and took in the sights. It was neat to see in person what we have seen on television for years.

One World Trade Center is the tallest building in the US and the observatory offers 360 degree views for miles. The history and the legacy is awing, as you think about how this tourist destination would not exist had it not been for 9/11. I went on a clear day and had great views. The price isn’t horrible if you just do the standard admission. To me, it’s nothing I would need to experience again but overall it is worth the experience.

My wife and I visited NYC this past summer for our wedding anniversary. We walked by and admired St. Patrick’s Cathedral during our self guided walking tour of Midtown. It is beautiful architecturally. We didn’t take the time to go inside but just took several photos.
