Heart wrenching and reminder of how fragile we are.. Relecting pools pay beautiful tribute to those lost.

I read other reviews stating how big this museum is - I confirm it certainly is! Loads to see, so leave enough time. Recommend booking tickets ahead in advance to avoid the long queue to get a ticket. You simply then show your QR code on your phone / print out to access all areas. On arrival, get a map from the information desk when you enter. The greyed out parts on the map indicate rooms which you cannot enter due to long-term refurbishment. This caused us a bit of trouble navigating different routes, but there are plenty of staff around to point you in the right direction.

You can purchase an audio guide (around $8), but you need your own headphones. We opted not to, but there were plenty of info boards around, telling you about various collections.

The Egyptian Art section was fascinating.

There are several eateries throughout the museum. Would recommend 'The Eatery' on the ground floor. Choice of burgers, soups, pizza (inc. GF base), sushi, sandwiches. There is also a dedicated cake section, including a section for GF cakes - the muffins were really nice, I noticed were from a local GF bakery, 'By the Way Bakery'. Later on we wanted a coffee; we were going to head for the American Wing Cafe on Floor 1, but saw the queue so went back to the Eatery which was less busy.

Gift shop is very expensive, but cool to look around.

A good half day spent, although you could easily spend the whole day looking around.

Purchased tickets in advance to avoid queuing on the day however the day of our visit (Monday 10.00am in mid September), the attraction seemed very quiet. Seamless entry to this beautiful building and when we arrived at the top shared the viewing deck with perhaps less than 30 other guests.
Greta views of iconic NY landmarks from this building. The Rockfeller Plaza is worth exploring too.

sailed past on a boat tour, cracking sunny day and was very close to see her, you can get a boat to the island but pay extra to go up her skirt.

Family and I went on a beautiful day on a Saturday afternoon. OMG! So many people! I didn't expect to see so many people! Also didn't expect to see so many vendor selling low quality NY souvenirs mostly at the entrance of the bridge. We only walked half way--that was enough. Everyone should walk this famous bridge at least once!

What an ingenious way to use an old part of the high line train tracks. The many trees that grow along it give shade to the weary walkers. There are many exits to the streets below.

Sadly we went on a day with poor weather, we were offered a different day however we were flying home soon. But the lift experience and what we could see was great.

This building is beautiful. Worth visiting just for the architecture but take a subway or train from here. We went to the Bronx from here

What an interesting, quiet place among trees, shrubs and flowers. The walk from the subway up the stairs was invigorating and well worth it. The exhibitions of European medieval art is outstanding, and the gardens with their many plants and herbs an inspiration.

Peaceful small Park in Midtown Manhattan
Could not stop visiting this park for picnic with takeout food
Many seats and tables to sit under the sun or building lights in the evening
