Beautiful architecture and an amazing collection and services of UCSD. The library also has an amazing g exhibit of the archives and collection of Theus Seuss Geisel (named on his behalf), Dr. Seuss.

Visited the park with friends while visiting San Diego. I, later on, had an opportunity to ride my bike along the pacific beach from La Jolla all the way to Mission Bay. It was both relaxing and exciting with so much to see along the way. I met lots of cyclists and friendly people along the way.

In 2022 - another year with the C-19 pandemic - traveled once more to San Diego to attend APEX - 2022 , the world largest event for the electronic industry.
Rules enforced at the convention center - proof of vaccination, or tests , face mask on premises and distancing - dependent on your choice.
Entrance on only 1 door where you had to show always proof of vaccination.
Overall they did a good job from this perspective.
Facility was great , as always , clean meeting rooms , very clean restrooms, the main ballroom setup with distanced tables and the food served was also very good.
Escalators and elevators were working at every point - so access was easy everybody.
Parking underneath the building - so you could park your car with ease if you were driving to the event.
Or a train station right across the street if you were using San Diego public transportation.
Clearly marked easy to access drop off/pick up points for those using ride sharing services.
Overall a great place to host any big size event , even in times like this ... if you have doubts attending an event here , I would say just go , you'll have a great time at a great venue.

The iconic central library is back and open for browsing daily except for Sundays. The parking garage below is now totally automated and still has 2 hours of free parking with endorsement. Although the shop used book shop is still closed, the library "gift" shop is open with new stock and sale items. There seems to be more security guards who are actively walking through the stacks.

Unfortunately we only went here half way through our day visit. This is effectively a visitor centre, as the staff here as well as the information available was excellent and making this the first stop would help to decide how best to spend you time

The Houses of Pacific Relations are a collection of cottage showcasing cultures from around the world. Originally they were hospitality cottages for visitors from foreign countries during the world's fairs but have been re-purposed as cultural showcases. Each house highlights their culture and usually the influence of that culture on San Diego. Most houses have national treats to serve. Enjoy them all in an afternoon but be certain to visit the House of Norway.
The House of Norway along with the Sons of Norway and Daughters of Norway keep the Norwegian Heritage alive in San Diego County.

I have traveled through CBX twice, once with kids. I found the first experience, in June 2021 to be super easy.
Parking was simple and there were very few lines. I recently traveled over President's Day 2/22, and had a somewhat different experience. CBX was very busy, we had to park at an overflow lot, and the lines inside were long. However, the CBX worker checked our boarding pass time and moved us to the front of the line to get to customs. Here is what I learned:
    1. Reserve Parking online before going, I'd pay for the premium parking or valet. Arrive at least two hours early.
    2. Check-in to your flight at least two hours before via internet or mobile. We flew on Volaris and our friends' seats were given away because they waited to check in at the CBX kiosk. They were an hour and 45 min early.
    3. If you park in a cheaper or overflow lot, be prepared to wait. There is no automation, you have to find a person.

Overall, I find CBX to be an excellent value and will definitely fly out of there again. It feel safe, just be prepared for parking and that you may have a few lines.

Awesome deals at the Friends-run bookstore inside the La Jolla Library. Great for visitors and locals alike. New and vintage fiction, non-fiction, foreign language and children's books, as well as DVDs and CDs. All proceeds benefit La Jolla Library and other San Diego City Libraries. Books range in price from $.50 on up, with most in the $1.00-3.00 range.

Good club, just passed the security check point, head up the escalator and make a right. The club is not huge, but always has good food options.
