All the staff are very knowledgeable and welcome a chat, the sites have compelling impact, and above all - the living history portrayal of a Union soldier was truly fascinating.
Located a short drive outside modern day Appomattox, the site also has great guided tours, many restored and maintained buildings, and it's beautiful to walk around when the weather is nice.
